If someone is looking for some sort of cool animal figure to make some sort of pretender like shell customs out of - I'd suggest the Jurassic Park like critters they sell in many independent toystores and in Toymasters - they have soldiers riding on them (they are kinda like that Fake Gi Joe only riding animals and dinosaurs) they already strongly resemble a pretender shell out of the box.

@CZ Hazard my condolences to you and your family.

@Seeaich that is a very impressive lineup. Major kudos on that hard work, it's certainly paid off.

Well, having had another fiddle with the siege tetrajet, now I've swung back to picking some up to make rainmakers customs. I'm sure they'll start going dirt cheap once earthrise hits. I'll just get cracker as ion storm and say his electrical abilities keeps scorching his armour.

Here's one for everyone who went to TFN this year. It need a lot more work. Joints are a little loose right now and a poorly designed joint means the trailer can't form properly right now, but I'm really happy with how the first draft of my animated Powermaster Optimus prime is looking

Condolences @CZ Hazard - all the best to you and yours.

So I’ve been on a bit of a G1 kick and picked up a G1 Jazz re-issue for a steal on one of the FB groups.

That alt mode is still stunning. I’m really enjoying picking up some G1 bits again.

It's funny you should mention that as there's the other option I keep forgetting to post about, I spotted this in my local Poundstretcher about a fortnight after I finished my Catilla...
    DSC_0047.JPG
...totally meant to post it back then with a "FFS!". Despite my terrible angle of shot, yes, that is a sabre-toothed tiger with way more mass than my ANIA one that I actually used. I could've had a way bigger (and therefore easier to stick a Primemaster in) Prehistoric cat to work with! *Sigh* I console myself that, with an actual Takara product as a basis for it, my custom is at least closer to semi-official even if I had less real estate to work with! :p
Going back in Time to say a proper 'thank you', Andy, I do appreciate others' appreciation of my peculiar obsessions as a positive!
Thanks, mate, though I cannot overstate anyone with a steady hand and the patience could copy, or even exceed, my work. Falling on the right parts and bits to use makes me seem way more skilled than I am. The final painting covers up lots of snapping-off-to-re-glue-better sins!

He is pretty cute. Needs a car wash to go with. Hmm.

At some point next week I have Prime Dark Energon Wheeljack (aka Slicer) arriving, which I’m uncommonly looking forward to.

Thats the ones - they are £7.99 in Toymaster so that seems like a fair price.

Very reasonable of you dude, I'm sure your neighbour appreciated your patience. I once ran over a mates foot, he hasn't ever let me forget it. To be fair, it's not the first time he's had a vehicle run over his foot. Or the second. School bus and his uncle. At a certain point he has to acknowledge he just needs to have shorter feet :p

Christ in a Christmas tree I never thought about the prospect of a selects box set of the remaining prime masters. Why the fuck not? Come on Chris bombard hasbro with pics of your work and tell them to get on it!

Holy shit dude that is epic.

My kid too an explosive shite earlier and when I was trying to Change her she wiggled her nappy down and did the equivalent of a river dance smashing her feet into her own poo. If the image of me covered in crap and panicking certainly cheered the wife up.

Definitely make sure you keep that as ammo against your kid when she's older and having a tantrum. "Oh yeah? Bring it on kid, you've kicked literal shit on me before, so I think I can handle a bit of a sulk!"

My boiler decided to burst last night. Or at least a part of it. Found water pouring out of it and over the microwave, which was in the entirely smart and rational position of being directly underneath. Now coincidentally I'd already got an appointment to have it serviced today, which is lucky, but means it's going to be a mite more fraught than just telling them that the water wasn't heating properly. Now they'll have to do repairs, and I canna be doan wi et.

    Nothing defeats the Devastator, NOTHING!

    Karen5810326.jpg

Well, except for a top heavy upper body creating an off place centre of gravity meaning all the improved joints they threw at this set can't fight those kind of physics when posing dynamically. The powerful thighs will hold firm but he weighs so much up top he'll still topple over like a pissed up pornstar at the AVN Awards.

    Dfg8407.jpg

    Bnj5831713.jpg

Still, he looks fantastic in a standard 'Come at me, you little pricks' kind of pose. He's an industrial powerhouse, almost the size of Siege Omega and beautifully detailed. The individual robots and vehicles are utterly superb. And for 18 sheets per figure, this is very impressive stuff. Jinbao Builder, Yellow version.

    Good Morning Threadizens -

@CZ Hazard - echo everyone else - condolences

been pretty quiet on the robo front as i was deeply immersed in BOTW - finally 100%-ed the core game - and i think i'm in some sort of post-BOTW gaming depression - gave Pokemon Lets' Go a try out and it just felt incredibly simple and devoid of soul? maybe it is, but i primarily got it so i could finally evolve up my Meltan on PoGo...i'll come back to it - so i've now dived back into the warm embrace of the Zelda universe and am giving Links Awakening a go - immediately in love, so this is much better

on the Bot front, not sure if the heads up has been given, but Siege Apeface is up on Amazon.com for a couple of pence over £30 shipped - that seems a pretty good deal to me..

also got a PO in for the Ratbat and Co battlemaster wave - really looking forward to those

That is literally my entire road map for discipline and parenting. "kid... I have ALL the embarrassing pictures of you. You'll do your damn homework or the world will see you dressed as a penguin and covered in your own puke!"

That is shit about your boiler dude. Hopefully its a quick and cheap fix. You've reminded me that my own is overdue it's annual servicing.

Chuffin' hell he is a rather meaty lump of devastation isn't he? Nice shots Captain Napalm!

I'm sad to read this, Sid, but glad you shared some quality time together at the ned. Family is weird and hard work. I feel for you. Hope you and everyone else are doing as well as can be.

Hear hear! I hold some glimmer of hope that we might one day get a set of the missing ones, but it's a fading glimmer. Just give me that fucking Waverider that I know you have, you fucks!

Will Impactor stabbing Reflector with his harpoon help? I sincerely hope so.

Ah boilers. You don’t give them a moment’s thought until they go wrong, at which point their importance suddenly comes into horribly sharp focus.

Yeah, Waverider is the biggest letdown, since it’s just a waste of money right now after casting the mould that once. Of course, it’s only for a single piece, so it’s not like an entire toy that was developed, but still, a waste. But Hasbro’s strategy with Selects seems to be the tail end of the previous line and then moving right on to the current one. I think we’ll probably see Springer and Astrotrain redecos in Selects, maybe Spinister too, then it’ll move onto Earthrise.

It does, but where’s the harpoon? You could equally have told me he was giving Reflector a tickle and I’d have believed you.

In Reflector's guts, silly. And he can't tickle! Impactor doesn't have fingers on that hand.
