Throwing the monkey wrench in here. We also had the comic that ran a lot longer than the cartoon. I know all those Galvatron fans want a version of him too.

so why are Fanstoys being inconsistent with their aesthetic? Warpath, which didnt have silver on the toy OR the cartoon, yet it looks great and feels right! Hunk will be perfect if they put metallic silver on the arms and knees and keep the helmet and face metallic.

In this thread we will never again speak of that shiny metallic finish error. The corrected colors are much better, still premium but correct for the figures and fit in better with the masterpiece line than that nasty overly-metallic finish that's so far out of phase with the rest of our collections. Save that nonsense for the X-variant repaints.

I honestly would describe the paint on both versions of Quietus in exactly the same way. Quietus looks like a high quality/premium piece, but I don't understand the super metalflake finish that ultimately makes the colors look overly silver/metallic and subsequently too light. The type they used on Sovereign where it is a nice color with just a little metallic flake is great IMHO, but the super metalflake on Quietus not so much. But that's me.

I would buy it if they do. Hoping for a limited edition repaint.

I think on some of the early toys the grey on the back and where the turret attached was more of a silver/grey rather than the flat grey that the older toys were. and who knows on the cartoon since you were lucky if they drew and colored it the same frame to frame.

I can't wait for (teenage mutant ninja) turtle toes to show up! I never did get any of the other offerings as I wasn't sold on them.

Not sure the head & face look as good there as previously , but the rest is good. Face looks generic, almost Tesla-like. Helmet head looks squished in depth (front to back).

That’s personally a peeve of mine with many transformers, and just about every release of Brawn ever, 3P or official. The heads end up being too narrow front to back. The proportions bug me. But, unfortunately, there rarely seems to be a decent solution given the engineering challenges of creating a rooftop [edit:robot] that has to hide parts like the head when you change it into a car.

As far as "should", he should be approximately shoulder height on the main car bots, assuming you are going with the Sunbow chart of all that is right in the world:
Otherwise it's up to you. But even as a rule of thumb, he's bigger than Bumblebee, smaller than Hound.

This still geared for a February 2020 release, daimchoc?
