Here is a little fix/mod for the front wheels of SIEGE Voyager class Optimus Prime. His front wheels are always at an angle due to a design flaw I would say. Below I show a little picture tutorial how to fix this issue to have his wheels at 90° straight up.

    1. That's the edge which causes the problem:

I don't know why it is there but it has no actual function. I did this fix/mod a couple of months ago and transformed the figure a couple of times since then and had absolutely no issues with it.

    2. Here you see how I removed it:

If you don't have an electric dremel you can use an exacto/hobby knife or something else that gets the job done, too.

    3. Here you see what it looks like after removing the edge:

    4. Here what it looks like when the wheel is in position with the edge:

    5. Here what it looks like when the wheel is in position without the edge:

    6. And here's a comparison:

I'm kind of thinking your copy may have had an issue. The front wheels on mine have lined up and snapped into place from day-one. The gray piece snaps in under the red part you cut off with an audible click.

So they are not at an angle downwards or upwards?

    They're completely vertical when locked.

Hmm...I didn't manage to get there with that edge I removed. And I tried a lot. The wheels have either been angled upwards or downwards. So even if I did something wrong before removing it it's easier now and I don't have any problems caused by the mod.

That's cool then, and kudos for finding a solution.

Yes, it's a dremel. That's the term I was missing.

Thanks for the post! I'll be sure to try out this fix if my prime has this issue.

    Mine has the same issue.

Figured the extra plastic was just something structural they had to add for mass production.

I’ve had to add little extra bits to 3d designs just to make sure I could 3dprint something I made since the plastic wall would be too thin otherwise.

The bit on prime could’ve been added way late in the process and they didn’t notice the negative effect until too late

I also get an audible click and it lines up straight.
