The height and lack of ankle tilts is what bugs me

Ha! I figure his vehicle mode screams Earth Rise because it is such a cool design

Is there a precedent for straight up rereleasing a figure in the next line? As in the Siege to ER Astrotrain? I cant think of a time this has ever happened. Not counting those basic Cybertron guys that were released in Universe

T30 Cosmos and Shrapnel/Skrapnel being rereleased in TR and POTP respectively? They both had slightly different decos than their original releases, though...

EDIT: Oh, I just realized you meant a figure being rereleased in the very next line rather than a few lines later like Cosmos and Shrapnel. I can't think of any times this happened, either.

To paraphrase Mister T, I pity the Fool who doesn't!
I still suspect he might be among the figures in the Box set which is "Not an Autobot" one.
One of the few Ark crew Movie Survivors? I'll take those odds!

I really want to see a voyager scale Rodimus Prime based on the original toy with transforming cab.

it’s far fetched, but I’d like a shot at the 1986 movie bots without the headmaster gimmick.

Also, a G1 inspired Ironhide and Rachet would be awesome.

I believe one of Catz's latter hints has been a mixed-size class box set that is "not an Autobot" one? Or am I conflating speculation clues?

I forgot about those 2. I would say the deco change was minor enough I would count it except they both were slightly changed in that they lost their weapon partners

Cosmos also gained the tooling created for Cybaxx so the second Cosmos can act as a Computron shoulder attachment.

I hope so, I've never owned one, not even in the old days!

There's so many I wanna see from Earthrise or part 3 and I don't really care how they do it lol

    Drift
    Blaster (IDW-like if possible)
    Kup
    Skids
    The Dinobots
    Onslaught
    Swindle
    Bludgeon
    Blitzwing

So I have a fun idea for an exclusive, but it requires a (likely) prediction followed by a major retailer to be on board; Mercenaries faction Skywatch/Diaclone car bots with headmaster gimmick.

Take a (very likely to be released at some point) WFC Sunstreaker deluxe, slap on a titanmaster gimmick paint it in red, blue and dark grey/flat black, and put it in a 3 pack like the rainmakers.

Now you have yourself a IDW reference (see Transformers Devastation) which, even if you don’t get the reference, still stands as a cool 3 pack.

    visual reference.

I had stopped collecting for a couple of years, and really wish that I had watched some reviews on Jazz before ordering Ricochet, because he was a floppy mess straight out of the package, and is the only figure I regret buying since starting collecting again.

I would like to see a refined Reveal the Shield style Jazz for Earthrise.

Could the rumored Commander Class Sky Lynx be separated into 2 Commander Class offerings? 20191111_140308.jpg

This would most certainly make it able to scale properly with Predaking and still fall into the Commander Class 20191005_023827.jpg
MMC did a perfect job of scaling their Predaking and Sky Lynx so hopefully Hasbro TT has access to the same reference materials and are willing and able to scale appropriately, whatever they decide I will still buy it but everything so far has been to scale where feasible so I hope for a continuation of that trend. 20191111_140321.jpg

The more I think about it I'm thinking that the Wheeljack mold could serve as a basis for several characters without much trouble just by changing the head, colors, and the feet/frontmost part of the car, and other incidental things.

    Wheeljack -->
    • Lockdown, new muscle car feet, some additional spikes on the body or wheels and a new head, paint, and weapon. Perfect.
    • Sunstreaker, new countach feet to make his V-mode match Sideswipe, new weapon/engine block, new head and paint and it's Prime. Plus him and Wheeljack do share the same odder head shape and Lockdown would need the same lateral space for his jaw/spikes.
    • The Battlecharger Comedy Duo, probably remolds of Sunstreaker specifically with one new head and a new 'cowl' piece shared between them attaching to the same place as Sunstreaker's engine block. Bam. Also redeco them into Goldbug with a new slick sports car mode and Blackjack.
    • Deep Cover, Exhaust, Slicer, Axor, all a seem natural at that stage.
    • Off the wall, Car Robots Mach Alert could come from this mold too with a new arm shield piece, maybe shoulderpads.
Tracks could receive this treatment but he might get his own mold with a dedicated Corvette curvature.

In which case the Battlechargers could be remolded from him because he had a 'cloak' anyway but based on that same logic he could also be a redeco of them if they get the mold first then that could leave one of the two with a less than faithful v-mode

It's possible, but not sure how likely. They'd be asking customers to buy two separate $80 releases just to complete the character, running the risk of people missing one.
Plus, one of those $80 releases would be a big blue box that transforms into.. the same big blue box but with legs and a gold cat head. For $80.
I'm not sure Hasbro wants to try selling just the lynx part at that price.
