About 4 hours in and I still haven’t hit the first gym but I’m enjoying my time in the wild area and doing raids. I hope these are two features that stay for the rest of the series. The online is enjoyable to. I really like seeing people running around with you in the wild area even if it hurts the games frame rate.

 

I'm not saying this glitch doesn't exist... but look at how many people have been playing this game.. and we've gotten what.. maybe 20 reports? That's less than .1 percent fail rate. And we still don't have enough information on to weather this is actually game related or just people with cheap SD cards and Emunand blowing themselves up.

 

Agreed that said i am in a odd way kind of glad my copy won't arrive for a few days yet as it gives time for this mess to get sorted and the panic to die down and we can see just how rare or other wise it is.

 

All I know is.. Leon needs to keep away from my Scorbunny! >.> <.<

 

Started playing Sword and I'm really enjoying it. I don't know if I just have bad luck but the Pokémon in the Wild Area keep just wrecking my team

 

I've noticed the pokemon in the wild area seem to be a bit stronger. Or maybe I just really suck now.

 

Over that glitch save thing- if you formatted your SD card in another way that just letting your switch do it that’s what corrupts it, the saves are missing but not gone, according to joe Merrick of Serebii on Twitter, he has a thread about it there.

Also a lot of the people who had it happen to them were playing on hacked switches.

 

My little boy was born on Thursday, so been at the hospital since then. Managed to play about an hour an a bit in between doing baby stuff, helping my partner and sleeping as much as I can (not nearly enough  ). What I have played though has been great so far. The game, to me, feels clean? Like the UI, the snappiness of events, everything just feels good as far, I’m loving it.

Went and just caught everything I’m seeing so far, I understand the upset about the Dex cut, but with a number more manageable I’m actually going in catching one of everything I see now, rather than just everything I need.

 

Just be careful when you get to the wild area... they get stronger quickly there.

 

Team is currently Kong (Grookey), The Borg (Blipbug), Leonardo (Drednaw), Lassie (Yamper), Volvagia (Sizzlipede) and KitKat (Meowth). On our way to save the day and pray small trees aren’t in the way.

 

I've taken to saying "make my monster grow" whenever I Dynamax. And I almost wish I had named my character Rita as a result.

 

Seriously, the wild Area is crazy. I'm currently getting my ass beat by a Wingull. A fucking Wingull. It refuses to stay in a ball

 

I never hacked my switch or any other system but I'm a bit confused on formatting sd card, the card I have for my switch is from Best Buy and I stuck it in and let it do it's thing. Am I safe?

 

Most likely. Also, remember that these reports are at less than .1 percentage failure rate.

 

So I beat the first gym an hour ago.....and then made my way back to the Wild area. I love it so much!!!

edit: Is there any actual guide on how to cook the curry the best you can? the best I ever get is "milcery rank" and there's two more ranks above that...

 

I've been spending the last 3 hours in Sword capturing Pokémon in the wild area. My psychic-insect is now psychic-ten-sided-dice-insect. My sobble is about to evolve.

I spotted a Onix, hoping I could catch it. My sobble is too weak to take it out. Unleash the poke doll!

And had my first dynamax battle. I'm loving this game!

I find it awesome that there is a record store in the game. I wonder if they have the 1989 Batman soundtrack?  

 

Not video game related, but I bought a pack of Pokemon cards just for the hell of it. IDR the last time I bought any pack of cards for myself. Pulled a rare Charizard & Braixen that currently sells between $65-90. About a month ago, they were selling for $230. Boy am I late....

The game is causing issues with my TV (a Roku) as well. Just as I was about to go out the door of my house in game, the tv just started turning itself off and back on again in an endless loop. Not a good first impression....
