Wow looks like the g1 boxart. Soooo tempted

 

Finally got this hefty badass back on his feet after six painful months of him being busted. I still love it!! Reminds me of black licorice.

Alt mode comparison nobody asked for but that I very much wanted to see and do.

And since I had him out, one more comparison.

Shattered Glass Godbomber on the way...

Damn that would be sweet!! My wallet though....

 

Looks like the crotch armor was modified a little bit on the shattered glass version. Not having to flip up the old skirts anymore is a relief, though that area still looks odd.

Wish they could just have new skirts that tab on top of the old ones so the proportions aren’t destroyed.

 

It appears that the 'skirts" were just kept in place from the God Bomber "front bumper"mode and not removed and clipped on to the lower position. Either way, I like it as pictured even better.

 

I actually messages Fans Hobby about a Fire Guts version and they said "Pls stay tuned for our development ". I think if enough people message them then they might do it.

 

I was adding some faction symbols to my Power Baser and Double Evil last night and found that the Powermasters are cross compatible.

I suppose there's no reason why they wouldn't be, but it's a cool feature nonetheless.

 

Today marks the 3rd day of black god armour release in Asia but noone has shared a toy pic or video review.

 

This kind of came out of nowhere after Cyber Monday was over but tfsource has the normal colors Power Baser V2 on sale for $179.99. I had the black version already but I've been wanting the normal version so I jumped.

 

I got the V2 tonight, were there supposed to be blue eyes in the package along with the red eyes that come installed? Didn't see them anywhere.

 

Nope. Red eyes only.

 

Thanks for answering. I guess I can always pillage my black one if I can’t take it or see if FH will sell me an extra set of blue ones.

 

I prefer the red eyes as that's what my G1 toy has but I get why some would want the blue and it would have been a nice option to have.

Bonus: Ever since getting the replacement parts for my Black Power Baser, I couldn’t for the life of me get the legs to tab into the crotch for alt mode. And getting combined mode together was a nightmare where in the past it had been pretty smooth. Compared the black version to the new V2 and realized that the hip joints were sitting at different angles in alt mode...because I had installed the replacement hips for the black one backwards and attached the wrong legs to each side. Fixed that up. Now both of them go into all modes with no muss or fuss.

 

The question now is then, does the extra God Ginrai head that the upcoming blue Godbomber comes with have red eyes like the v2 Power Baser, or blue eyes like the original...? The Godbomber figure himself seems to have blue eyes.
