nice!!! $50 was my price point i was willing to pay for Jetfire.
kinda bummed i missed out on Spinister Pre-orders on Walmart, i had it in my cart but hadn't pulled the trigger.

 

Cheapest one is the free one so in a scenario with 3 deluxes, you get no stacking value.

You need one to be of lower value than the 25% off one after discount.

 

Now we wait for target to bring the price down so people can use the 25% code  

 

I'm not sure I follow.
The coupon takes 25% off of the most expensive item. So, three deluxes at $20 each, there isn't a "most" expensive, so you just get one deluxe for $15 after coupon, one for $20, and the third free. $35 for 3 deluxes (not including tax or RedCard discount).

I mean, I get that the least expensive item is going to be the free one, but I don't think that the deluxe going down to $15 would then end up being the free one: The fact that the coupon applied to it would mean that it ISN'T the free one. If it then becomes the free one, then that means that the coupon hasn't been applied, and would then apply to one of the other deluxes to bring it down to $15.

I'm assuming it would go in the order of the transaction:
First, three Transformers are scanned. (Let's go with the deluxes: $20 + $20 + $20)
Since more than two are scanned, the third is triggered as "free" and drops to $0.00 (leaving $20 + $20 + $0)
THEN the coupon is scanned, and takes 25% off the most expensive item (either one, leaving you with $15 + $20 + $0).
Then tax and RedCard, etc.

Right?

 

What do you buy for B2G1 free at Target? Don't see many options

 

Alternative thought based on my history with returns and how I’ve seen some other retailers do it.

$20 + $20 + $20 = $60

25% off one.

$20 + $20 + $15 = $55

And then the B2G1F MIGHT in a case like this be a bit more complicated formula that is actually “buy 3, get up to 33% off 3 items” internally. I think I’ve seen TRU and Target do that in the past. Coupon returns were prorated by discount in the past at least.

Perhaps the total would be $36.30 for 3 deluxes. As that’s 33% off $55.

It’s still a less efficient use of the 25% coupon in that case.

Their website RARELY has a good stock.

Unless say Redwing comes back in stock or the Rainmakers go on sale and you want to army build, this is best as an in store coupon for something like Weaponizer army building.

That said, if you wanted to stockpile Omega Supremes, I guess they’d average around $70 a piece for 3. Could be good for a Mom and Pop. Or you MIGHT get a crap ton of store credit at a place like 2nd and Charles trading them in.

My understanding of 2NC trade in math is that they research average used price even of new in box sealed items and give 50% of average used price from Amazon and eBay in store credit or 25% in cash. Which is probably around $85 in store credit (sadly one low seller dropped that number). If you want the key to making a good return with them, something rare that you control the market on is best for trade in. For example: a comic book that was selling for $500 but crashed in value to $50 and nobody sold any on eBay or Amazon after the crash would still get $100 cash back or $250 in store credit. The trick with any trade in place in my experience is to bring them bags of things that would be inconvenient to sell, stuff that would be too big to profitably ship, or stuff so rare that the value is fluke-prone.

 

As far as the Target coupon goes, is it the same code for the in-store purchase as it is the online purchase? Rather, can you use the coupon once in store and also once online, or just once overall?

 

There are two codes so once each. I have done this myself.
