Don't think so either. TFSource messed up. That's all.

That is a really hard choice, I am a more Megatron kinda guy, so I am bias. I've got MP36, MP36+, magten KO and IT KO. From those I like the Magten the most. FT Sovereign is easily one of their best efforts, so the final decision is very close, but it goes to Magten KO, for me of course. If anything I would love Megatron to have Sovereign's heft though.

So I am loving the color choice matching g1 movie but the metallic finish is so strong if feels out of place. Notice in the product shots that metallic shine is not as apparent it looks better without the metallic finish.

I’ve accepted FT doesn’t know how to match blue hues. Thankfully the next year of figures has no blue in sight :redface2:

What are the chances TT is working on Galvatron? No doubt in my mind, if they do, it will look great (hopefully with no QCs). The only thing that worries me is how much are they gonna charge for the honor. I ended passing on MP44 because I felt it was not worth the money, even though I really like it. Maybe if at some point it goes down in price.

    Awesome.

The original had serious problems holding the arm up like that. Glad it's been sorted.

He's rumoured to be up soon (number wise not time wise). When they eventually do it I fully expect it to be better than this in articulation and overall aesthetic as MP44 crushes every other Prime, MP36 crushes every other Megatron.

It is not a question of if, but when. It is the last remaining Leader that has not gotten the MP treatment. For those that are into the new direction of the line, it will be a dream come true.

It will likely not be cheap at all, I'm not kidding myself. QC on my 44 is great, I haven't had a single problem other than the bent antennae, that are now fixed.

Sovereign is great in its own right. It is simply way too over-stylized for my taste and has lots of diecast just for the hell of it really. The alt mode is nothing but an afterthought that I'm sure TT will nail 100%.

Sovereign is an amazing choice for those that don't care much for toon accuracy and transforming IMO.

My gut tells me it will be 350-400 if it comes out in the next 1-2 years.
    BW Megs was $330 IIRC.

Its sad that the MP line is 15 years old and TT hasn't done figures of the 1 Decepticon and no. 2 Decepticon in the last 1/3 of G1 cartoon.

Yes, I can see TT doing a better job with Galvatron. Specially since I've liked what they have been doing lately, which I agree is better than the competition in design and articulation.

Really? I think they're both rather crap, and overpriced at that. MP-36 with his Urkel pants tiny torso syndrome and paint chipping issues and MP-44 with ugly panel gaps all over the shoulders, odd proportions and wonky knee ratchets, just off the top of my head. I have MP-36 because no one else has done a better toon MP Megs yet (I tend not to do KOs) but MP-44 I sold without opening it after handling one in person and realizing both TE and MagicSquare offer good alternatives and buying one of those doesn't encourage Takara to continue overpricing for weaker and weaker products.
Really, Takara continue to do worse and worse given the oddities in the new MP Bee and Hound designs, plus their ridiculous prices. I have no expectation of adding any more Takara MPs to my G1 MP collection unless they start doing better. Much better.

All TT needs to do is include a smirking face....and BAM, "beeeetter"... lol.
A laughing face is also good, like the one MP Meg has, which is the only one i am using to be honest.

But i cant afford anything TT, I stopped after Inferno / Sunstreaker (my favorite 2), but still love many of my FT more (definetly all of 2019 i got), and at least FT RK and Spoiler have awesome articulation / stability / weight / paint. TT will have more articulation though, i know. But it will be 300 - 350$, so....not for me. Wont have better paint then FT though.

Articulation yes. Design is relative. I haven't been impressed by a Takara figure after the Inferno/Grapple mold. In the past, I can rely on them for looks and engineering, but nowadays not so much.

I would not call them crap but I agree with you in overpriced. Like I said, I like MP44 but not saw the value in it (and I am very happy with my TE01), whereas with MP36 I actually love it and managed to get the oficial ones at good discounts. And for the rest of the figures is a case by case thing.

Buying MP-44 encourages TT to do the very same thing you are trying for them to stop doing, though. Unless I'm not understanding your thought process here.

There's a flow that goes from buying a thing, being disappointed with it, selling it, and not buying more in the future. The part you missed highlighting is: "I have no expectation of adding any more Takara MPs to my G1 MP collection unless they start doing better. Much better."

That was truly inspired. That's really the top. It's like afterwards, they hired someone from 3P to design their transformations. I recently got the Legends class New Age Megatron, and man, that figure should be upscaled and held up as an example on how to design a transforming Megatron.

Galvatron? Can TT do better? Don't know. The fact of the matter is that cannon alt mode is problematic. DX9 designed a Galvatron that turns inside out in order to get a good looking cannon mode, and I believe that's the direction that TT will take as well. The problem as we've seen is that the bot mode takes a hit. I mean there's no magic here i.e. you have to hide the arms somewhere. Of course the other thing is they can hide the arms inside the legs, but darn, that will make the transformation even sh***ier than a typical FT product, and the legs in bot mode will be hollow.

But yeah, articulation will be very very good.

I get MP Bee but I am curious about what do you not like about Hound? To me, admittedly just from pictures, it looks like an improved version of FT Willis, just like they did improve Sunstreak from Badcubes Sunsurge.
