I think we can all agree that the build, paint and articulations on Siege is objectively much better than Studio Series.

As much as I like Studio Series due to my budget I have to shift my focus to only one line and so obviously Siege won. Despite Studio Series being everything I wanted and more since I saw the 07 movie as a kid, I've been more happy with Siege which like Titans Return before has been able to fill out a lot of gaps in my G1 Collection which is my number one priority outside of my horror collection.

No. I'll straight up dispute the paint on Siege. When alot of it is unsightly splatter.

Ah yes, I take my words back on the battle damage paint, which is rather subjective. However, I feel like characters like Hound or Sideswipe are not only painted to the small details (Hound's headlights, back lights) but even packed with more than one piece weapon, while Soundwave, who is fully painted with silver, only comes with one accessory. And that is why I think Siege wins overall.

Seige. They look great mostly! Thick and sturdy plastic. Great character selection, I've been going a little crazy with em. Only need a couple more. It irks me that some are store exclusives though, like Greenlight, the Rainmakers and Ratchet.

Most of the SS line doesn't appeal to me and my daughter complained about very loose joints on her Dropkick, which is a shame because I was going to get one for myself. Plus they did Shatter dirty in the face department.

I have been tempted by a few though. Namely Dropkick, the yellow construction vehicle decepticon, Jazz and Sideswipe. If they ever make a proper faced Shatter and a Jet Blitzscream I'll jump on them.

I like how the movie line can sell itself to a wider customer base than the generations line ever could. I like to see all that money come to the brand.

I love to see that money invested in the Siege line.
Man alive! how I like the modern G1 stuff.

If TFs were on the ropes like they were before BW, I'd agree. In actuality we pulled in a bunch of hipsters who followed trends and bailed as soon as it stopped being fashionable, or we gained muggle moviegoers who didn't buy toys. Point still stands that when you see merch rolled out by any company NOT Hasbro, it'll either be whatever toon is current or G1/Evergreen.

Meh, I’m a G1 guy so no contest. Plus, I like that they’re using the Siege models in the comics. That said, SS Optimus Prime from Bumblebee (too lazy to look up the number, 44?) is pretty fricken fantastic as a realistic G1 Optimus Prime. Until Earthrise comes out and I get a good look at that Optimus, SS is functionally my G1 Earth-mode Prime.

Man I'd love Studio Series to do BB Blitzwing and the seekers from the Cybertron scene. IMO that's how the designs for the movies should have been done in the first place.

Siege is my vote. Studio Series doesn't interest me at all because it's movie stuff, and I don't collect that.

Voted studio series. I dip into the siege line sometimes but I like SS more.

Minds will be blown when G1 figures from 1986 movie enters the Studio Series line.

Dogs living with cats, mass hysteria!

I'm more of a Classics guy, but everything I've bought for Studio Series has really impressed me (other than the small stature of some deluxes). Fun, rewarding complex transformations though.

Siege hands down. I’m a G1 fan, so that’s my bias.
