STILL none of the Fairfax County Walmarts (or at least, none that I've been to) have the 35th Anniversary stuff out yet, even though some of them have shelf space earmarked for it. I have a weird feeling that they're waiting until Black Friday to put the stuff out. That's not based on anything concrete... but they seem to have been perfectly willing to leave the shelves empty this long, even though they have the merch in the stockroom somewhere, so my guess is that's what they're waiting for. For some reason -_-

(The reason is: Just to spite me.)

Manassas Liberia has 3-4 of each on the main toy aisle last night.

    Burke Walmart

whoop-dee-doo, it’s Siege Sixgun and Chromia. And their friends, Siege Shockwave and SS Dropkick! They had the new Cyberverse Warriors (Drift/Jetfire) if you’re looking for them. One GUOP. No sign of 35th stuff.

So... what's even going on there? Are they grabbing them out of the stockroom by request only? Are the employees selling them on the shady down-low? I still think it's completely stupid that there is an actual empty shelf section reserved for pieces of merchandise that are currently in the store, yet they refuse to shelve the merchandise so that normal customers can walk in and exchange money for them. Do they not want people's money? Did they lose a bet / coin toss with the other stores or something?

It is a little heavy handed by you could call the Customer Service number and make a customer request to have the "in stock" merchandise pulled and held at the new Pick Up location in the front of the store. I did it with a grill they had on sale at the end of the season but they refused to put them out for sale. After a week of asking and them refusing I called the customer service number to have them verify the stock amount that brickseek was showing. After they verified they had them I asked if one could be pulled and put aside with my name on it and they were happy to do so. My guess and I am only guessing; one they were in a trailer location, two buried in the warehouse, or three the store in question was having profitability issues that month and did not want to sell anything that would lower their margin numbers (the store manager's primary goal is to look profitable because profit sharing). Laziness is not defense in this case either as it was a sale item and if you bury it somewhere and are to lazy to dig them out that is not the customers' problem. In my case I asked about the 35th Anniversary figures in that store when they first started to hit shelves and was told they were in one of the overflow stock trailers and would be a bear to get too. That was quite sometime ago so I am not sure what the issue is now. I got mine from the Manassas Liberia store off of the display piece a few weeks back and cancelled my web order when they never bothered to ship them. If you want I can keep an eye out for them, if you tell me which ones you are looking for.

I appreciate it, but... it's more like, I just want the store to put out my plastic robots on the shelf for me to buy like a normal person, and now that they won't I'm just gonna complain about it until they do their job. Hahaha.

Aside: I'm not familiar with some of the mechanics of how a big store/chain like that works, so I don't really get how not selling something that is actually on-hand in the store somewhere is supposed to improve their "numbers" or whatever. On some level I guess I feel like it should just be "SELL MORE THING = GOOD" and "SELL LESS THING = BAD".

In reference to the grill it was on sale for $399.99 / MSRP is $599.99 / cost is $424.13

So they are loosing money on the sale; not a lot but it adds up. They want to keep the grill around until the sale is over and then try to sell it at the regular price so they make a profit. If they do not sell them in a predefined time frame (usually 6 months) they can return them to the distribution warehouse for reimbursement/credit from corporate. Not everything ends up on the clearance aisle(s). No money actually changes hands but gets handled on the backside in accounting.

Was at Walmart in Ashland, S. Fredericksburg, and Central Park today. All three locations have multiples of all the figures from the 35th display. The figures are stocked in the seasonal toy section at the front of the store at all three locations.

I don't know. My days of speculating whether a scalper or fan or whatever is getting items from a store are over.

All I can say for sure is that the numbers are dropping at both Fairfax and Fair Lakes so someone is getting the figures.

My 35th OP pre-order finally shipped. So I guess I don't have to both hunting for it.

And in typical Target fashion they will only have the old stock available for sale. The newer stuff will have already been pulled from the shelves.

Nah. Pulling stuff takes too much effort. They will just register lock the newer product.

It's both. I didn't see much online this morning though. Jetfire ($60.99) was available as part of the deal.
