Is it the 80’s Marvel comic or something newer? Sucks if we can’t download it.

Looks like modern comic art but I'm not a big comic guy. Just a scene by scene retelling of the '86 movie. Nothing new here.

Completely no effort on Hasbro/Haslab part and of no value. At most licensing the access codes. Like I mentioned. This SHOULD have been a hard cover volume or at least paperback... Especially for $700...

I downloaded it. And now I have screen captured most of it.

Correction... I did find a way to download the comic to my local drive via the "Backups" tab. Still sucks balls. Digital comics just plane suck

Well its newer... but hardly new. Basically in 2006 they got Bob Budiansky back on a TF book... to do an adaptation of the 86 movie. Its weird as heck.

Coupled with the (then) modern art of Don Figueroa its a very strange product. Bit not in any way part of either of the main IDW continuities.

    Indeed.

Of course, it's still an underwhelming experience. Without extra scenes and with the odd changes to iconic dialogue I don't understand the appeal of this over just watching the movie.

My unapologetic fanboi answer is that I literally don't care about Transformers past the end of G1. My Transformers died in the 90s and I choose to blissfully live in the past. I like it better there.

Oh and I didn't even download it. Email went into trash with the rest of the spam.

    I-I'll try...

My more serious answer is that, as a gay guy I have issue with how LGBTQ is represented in IDW. Details are kinda Identity politics-y and this isn't the time or place for that.

So are they representing the LGBTQ community in a negative way in your opinion or is it just the fact that they are bringing that into play at all in a comic about robots the problem for you? This is a serious question unlike the picture of the rape doll I posted.

I got the link today. This should have been a hardcopy pack in with Unicron. A digital comic book is a useless comic book.

I mean I hate the last jedi but I don't swear off every single star wars movie. (also I 100% can guarantee that is not brought up with these.) also not really making any sort of statement as you already own the free gift. Kinda like burning Nike’s after you bought them. The company got your money, so they don’t care.

Can confirm toy dojo has not sent anything out about the comics.

As another gay guy, I don't really find it that bothersome, in some kind of way it makes sense to me, but that's just me I guess. Btw, you might like the comic, it's basically a reiteration of the transformers original movie. I was pleasantly surprised, seems to be very much in line with it from what I can tell so far.

You know, this comiXology thing seems like junk. Paid monthly membership and most of the featured comics still require secondary purchase.

Yeesh. Glad I opted to cancel my membership just as soon as I figured out how to.

I’ve never used comiXology unlimited, but the plain old comiXology is basically iTunes for comics, it’s great and it been how I’ve been getting my comics for about 10 years now

Just to be clear, you don't have to buy a thing to use Comixology. That paid membership is for a specific service. Not the app itself.

Yes, you need an Amazon account (or a Comixology-specific one, but they're the same company, so that's a minor distinction), but you don't have to spend a dime to be able to read the digital comics from Hasbro's Unicron deal.

Ok! Anyone have a simple explanation how to download this? LOL! Do I need the app? I read it and it was ok. What I expected.

I'm a little disappointed it's just a reissue of their old The Movie adaptation and an issue of the ongoing, but at least I got to read the adaptation finally. Weird seeing the difference in art from old IDW and current IDW. Make the ongoing's art look even flatter.

Once you use the code and have the comic registered in your account, go to "My Books" and click on the "backup" tab. It'll give you the option to download it in CBZ and PDF formats.

Thanks for this idea. I didn't know that you could do that, and if I'm able to figure it out for my device (which apparently doesn't have the same interface as your screencap), it could enable me to consolidate my digital comics into a single app.
