Sticking with my GDO Cliffjumper thank you very much. The chest (At least from my perspective) looks like a gut... And is it me or is Wheeljack really hollow. Dont mind hollow usually but the legs look really bad
Based on some guestimation by how the figures look side by side in their boxes, and a comparison with Siege Sideswipe with the old Bumblebee mold (assuming Sideswipe is about the same size as Wheeljack), it looks like this new Cliffjumper one is almost as big. Less beefy and a bit shorter, but definitely not the laughable tiny size Hasbro kept pushing Minibots into as Legends in the past. I hope they update a lot of the Minibots in this new size, some characters like Huffer/Pipes and Gears got lame releases that just weren't good.
They did the same with Studio Series, but luckily I was done once movie 1’s cast was filled out. It’s like they do not understand the lines were loved because they put love into the toys at first and made the increased prices worth it. That Cliff Jumper is a straight money grab with his size and alt mode quality. Studio Series Bee Movie Bee was tiny, but incredibly detailed. At least they spent some coin on Wheeljack’s paint.
I meant he is almost as big as the old Bumblebee mold. Are you actually expecting him to be as big a Wheeljack?
Merging that image with the previous we get: The angles aren't perfect, as you said, but it seems close enough to give us a general idea. Cliffjumper will be around a head taller than previous Legends class figures, and quite a bit more beefy.
Cliffjumper looks perfect. Given that I’ve paid $20.00 for a borderline voyager with Ratchet, I think the extra $10.00 on Cliffjumper is justified. Hoist and Wheeljack look awful. Hoist’s limbs are so small compared to his body, and the parts hanging off his arms are terrible. Wheeljack’s biggest problem is his head sculpt and arms. We had such great engineering with Siege, and now we’re going back to poor designs like Wheeljack’s arms and legs. Ironworks and the MicroMasters look pretty good. So far, Cliffjumper, Ironworks, the MicroMasters, and Optimus Prime are the highlights of Earthrise.
I know. I don't think he's nearly as bulky and might even be a cm or two shorter still. =/ He's 3 meters tall, Wheeljack is 4 meters tall. He's the height he supposed to be.
Cliffjumper and wheeljack are the reason i wont be buying wave 1 figures until theyre on sale in a few months like siege (and potp??)
I don't know, there it looks more like Cliff is just a bit taller than Bee to the top of the head, just Cliffjumper has a lot more backpack, and his head's bigger (when taking into account thar Cliff's feet look longer than Bee's).
Yes...that's what I mean when I say almost as big. As in, not the same size, but close. Here's another composite.
I forget how taboo it is to mention other sites, so I won't link to it, but over on Tformers they actually managed to do a pretty good analysis by actually measuring the height through the packaging size and from the actual bottom of the foot we can see that's aligned with the thigh (not the toe which makes it look taller) and they came up with a height of between 3.5 to maybe 4 inches for Cliffjumper.
