Cool....the wait for Cyberverse Arcee and Perceptor begins

 

I’ve not really been a fan of most of the Cyberverse Shockwaves. The robot modes looked ok, but I could not get past the alt mode and the gimmicks on them. This new Power of the Spark Armor gimmick is possibly the best Cyberverse gimmick yet, and this iteration gives us the best Shockwave of the line so far.


This Shockwave is a nice miniature, sleeker version of the one-eyed Madbot. It’s not hampered by a built-in gimmick so its poseability is not as limited as previous versions. The colors are gorgeous too. The pink and purple blend nicely and I’m really digging the black limb sections. Used to seeing grey or silver for Shockwave, but it’s a very nice change.

I’m really enjoying the Spark Armor gimmick. It allows for some nice customization options with all the different parts and ports to be interchangeable. Plus, the Solar Shot satellite armor I think makes sense for Shockwave.

One drawback, I still don’t like this spider-tank thing. This is probably one of the laziest alt modes of recent lines and it’s just not very suitable for Shockwave I think. I have yet to see a decent tank mode for him in any line, honestly. But the Spark Armor, in this instance, helps out with a couple other alt modes I came up with that I think look better.

and a gyro jet. I think these work nicely.

I’m really enjoying this version of Shockwave. Next to the Siege version, I think he’s the best one we have right now. He looks fabulous and is fun to fiddle with. The accessories he comes with add some excellent play value and variety. Really digging this Shockwave!

I don’t know if I asked this before, but how tall are the new deluxe figures in terms of height? I heard somewhere that they were 5 inches but Im not entirely sure
And they could very well be 4 inches or 5 inches but I’m hoping it’s the latter. I really need a new CHUG Bumblebee

 

No I haven’t. But any reviews or pics I’ve seen of it just don’t really impress me. I generally find the gimmicks on the bigger figures kinda clunky. I like the Spark Armor figures because it gives you the option of playing with them with or without the gimmick which I think is cool. Plus, it allows for customization which is a nice play feature. The bigger figures, you’re just kinda stuck with how they are with the built-in gimmick and I find that very limiting with how I like to enjoy my figures. Not really that I think they’re bad toys, just not my particular ‘cup of tea.’

 

The Ultra Shockwave is decent he is not the best I'd recommend Siege but that is a tad expensive maybe you can find one somewhere for cheap

The one in robot mode is the Warrior class. the other three are from the Spark Armor. I was going for the Drones in Cyberverse.

So when do we get anymore news on those Deluxe figures from NYCC? There’s hasn’t been a peep of news since Hot Rod and Grimlock were shown to be the next Deluxe figures. And aren’t we suppose to get them soon?

maybe they like your question because they have it also, but dont have an answer. the next toy show in america is toyfair in feb for hasbro, likewise takara is usually at wonderfest around that time as well. i wouldn't expect any real news until then

 

Boredom and my wallet can be a dangerous thing. Picked up Armour Prowl. Since I've not really followed this line after the first round of terrible figures, I was pleasantly surprised to find he's like a little G1 version with a very similar transformation. I've since found out his Deluxe is prettymuch the same figure, just bigger and with built-in shoulder missiles.
Anyway, the Armour version is pretty neat. I like that I can pop off the stupid helmet/mask thing (same with the Ratchet and Shockwave Armour figures). Looks much better.

 

I thought they’d be coming in December or January. But I hope we see something soon. I really can’t wait to get that Bumblebee

 

The Scraplet figures have Siege Battle Damage style paint on them.
