I'm going to be bold and say this is a hint at Earthrise Soundwave and Cyclonus

 

Jetfire is my favorite character, any reason to sell SIEGE Jetfire?

Wow, that is a reach. His just saying that a second version of the same character mean one is displayed in robot mode and one is displayed in alt mode.

 

The mention of keeping a previous version of a figure combined does intrigue me... it COULD mean a traditionally not a combiner figure, or it could potentially mean we are going to get a combiner. I'm still not 100% sure we aren't going to see Constructicons scaled to the component bots rather than the combined mode considering how the Constructicons were present a lot on Earth in the cartoon and pads out the Decepticon ranks. Heck, I could even see them doing what they did with the seekers and having some of them in the mainline and others in Gen Selects or Store exclusives. Heck maybe they could even find a way to make a torso formed from two Deluxes rather than making a Voyager Torso? Maybe a much more substantial kind of Duocon port?
Also some of the components look similar enough that you could probably remold some into other members rather than a fully separate mold for everyone?

 

I tend to do that with my stuff, though I usually have have a 'multiverse' theme going on with my TF collection..

Just give a version with the CW/POTP connector. I'll buy four of him. And a fifth one as a standalone.

 

...I can't believe people are actually rooting for *more* Earthrise versions of figures we just got in Siege.

Me neither. All the characters who had a figure in siege don't need a new one.
Except for Apeface. He needs a bigger toy.

 

especially since most are earthy enough (though i am glad for prime and a seeker mold, i really dont think the rest "need" earth versions as badly)

 

I've been thinking we'll get a Leader class Cyclonus in Part 3.

 

Especially since most of us display our figures in bot mode, and the Siege/Earthrise do-overs look pretty much the same in that regard.

 

I don't want them to redo all of the Siege characters in Earthrise. Just give us the characters they haven't done yet.

I'm okay with Earthrise Optimus because he finally comes with an update of the original trailer. (Though I'm glad I got cell-shaded Siege Optimus instead of the regular one. I might have been a bit annoyed.)

As for Starscream, I'm pretty sure there's an '86 movie theme going on for the trilogy (amongst other stuff), which could lead to Ghost/King Starscream figures, and Earthrise Starscream's Earth Seeker mode is probably easier to remold into a Conehead (or possibly Cyclonus  ) than the Siege jets.

Other than the above, I'd generally prefer not to get doubles of each character for Siege/Earthrise..

 

If that's what you want I'm not talking about you.

 

The only 2 additional redos I would like is Thundercracker and skywarp, simply so all 3 can have earth modes

I get that. I was actually agreeing with your comments. I'm also talking to anyone else who's listening (I've also been wandering around the house since this morning trying to sort some other stuff out as well. I only just realised both the comments I quoted were yours. )
