Depends to the extent of the redesign I suppose. If is just changing a tolerance it may be able to get done sooner. A whole new piece maybe not. They may be able to do it if they're able to cut that piece into a different mold they may soon be running, ex. cutting it into Blast Off's mold because that'll be running in the next few days/weeks.

Mind you this is all speculation with no idea how the actual process is done.

 

There's also the element that they may have already done this reengineering since making the one Paik reviewed.

 

I would rather have a new design for the shoulder connections instead of the old ones that relies only on friction.

 

Yeah I’d have thought they used a tab system or something more sturdy.

 

I'm guessing it may be too late for a total redesign. But regardless, what was shown in Paik's video looked pretty promising and was a dramatic improvement over the earlier figure.

 

Kinda nuts to think I might have another huge combiner toy this year.

 

I wonder how MMC would pull off a toy-centric remold of the team. Onslaught, Brawl and Vortex could pull it off easily, but Blast-Off and Swindle would be tricky. Blastoff might get a new chest, but Swindle?

 

Yeah, I would be really unhappy just like you if we lost them. They have dead eyes. Do you think the colored visors look better?

 

They won’t. I like theorising as well but it’s not gonna happen.

 

Got my shipping notice for Impetus. I mean everyone’s getting their Fraudo’s, but I’m happy enough I’m on this set and I like to check along safely.

Why does the front grill of the jeep have a huge gap? Broken or just mistransformed?

 

He forgot a step. The middle panel flips in to make room for the combiner T connector that flips out of Incursus' foot and slots in the middle of the grill.

 

Fraudo arrived today and yup, love this guy. MMC is 2/2 so far on this set, I just adore both bots and the engineering behind them.

 

Fraudo seems like a figure where I'll definitely need to sit down and go over his transformation slowly to pick up the little nuances and to appreciate the engineering that went into him. My copy of Impetus just left China.....so maybe I'll pick up a Fraudo from toydojo now to get in on the action.

Any robot mode comparisons between Fraudo and the ToyWorld Swindle? Wanna know if an upgrade is really necessary without wading through hundreds of pages of the thread

Edit: Nevermind, I found it. Fraudo looks great but since I only really want these for individual modes I think I will stick with the one I already have. There's a good chance that I will upgrade brawl though. I like unique toys version but I like how mmc's is both bigger and more show accurate. Still undecided on what I will do about onslaught, in certain ways Zeta Onslaught is more cartoon accurate and fits the aesthetic of the other MP Main guys like Road King better. MMC's looks better mainly from the back but is similarly oversized (which has basically become standard sized at this point for combiner team leaders -- FT's are the same size) and has some odd proportion issues.

 

I think any of the current options are better than the Zeta version.

 

Agreed. But aside from possibly Onslaught, I only have Zeta versions for the combined mode
