Hey Trent is it possible for you to sell all the hot shot parts separately as well as together given the price?

    Okay, that's enough.
Ease keep it on track and on topic or deletions/warnings will be issued.

Edit: I cleaned up all the off topic nonsense. If it needs done again, further actions will be taken.

Me too, but I kinda wish it was possible to buy all the parts separate too since I really just want the cannons and the cyber key

He did. Trent is always mindful of the pricing. If you would have clicked the shapeways link and read the description, you’d know that you could change the size to small and it changes the model to show only the cannons. Plus he’s offering the sword as a separate 2 pack and the bot key separately in a 2 pack with a con key. Try and do a little finger work before asking for something in multiple comments.

No I mean he does a few sets, one with the cannons and key, and another with the knives

    From the main arsenal entry:

    • Large - Full Set. Includes combat knife, two 2-part cannons/missile pods, turret and 5mm Autobot Cyber Key. Each component features 5mm grips, and the combat knife, cannons and turret each feature Transformers:Siege energy effects compatible 3mm pegs. In robot mode, cannons mount to the shoulders, or the figure's built in "Backpack" can flip up to support the turret.
    • Medium - Weapons Set - Includes combat knife and two 2-part cannons.
    • Small - Cannons Set - includes two 2-part cannons.
I do this for almost all of my arsenals, making different size-options to get different numbers of items or different sub-groups from the larger arsenal. I put the knives on their own because I wanted to include a steel option for the knife, and it would overcomplicate the main arsenal entry to have that just for the one option. I always recommend going to the store entry and checking out the various size and material options.

Hey now, I'm hardly a harbinger of doom.
Plus, the thread won't end unless the OP asks for it to.

    Trent,

What would you recommend for plastic choice on these pieces? I’d like something cleaner than Versatile, but don’t have experience for Multijet vs Fine Detail.

Multijet is a good option for items like this, it's a smoother, but somewhat "velvety" in the texture and very durable. The only trick is that multijet prints a little thicker, and you may need to sand the pegs for print-to-fit part fits. It doesn't tend to matter on a print-to-plastic connection, but on print-to-print, some sanding required.

The corrupt sword there is in Multijet black,

Smooth detail should work just fine for this. You'll want to clip the sprues carefully and, prior to painting, run a wooden or plastic toothpick through the grooves to clean out any lingering support material.

As to versatile, I haven't tried the premium yet, but I've heard good things. The other thing you can do if you get versatile is when painting, mix your acryic paints ultra thin with 90% or better rubbing alcohol. Apply in ultra-thin coats and let them dry completely beetween applications. The porous nylon soaks the color in deep, providing a rich, smooth color-coat, and after a number of layers the surface will smooth out substantially, so your detail painting can rest on top with no bleeding.

That's the technique I used on Ampzilla here, who was a white unpolished versatile print. I don't like using clear-cote as a personal choice, but a nice satin or semi-gloss on top of that and it'd look very plastic-like.

Same. Should be delivered this week. Only downside is toyhax is taking forever so pieces will be put on him and will be painted. Bat-swipe just won’t be complete yet.

This came in today and I’m super excited. I was gonna wait until I painted it to show off but I couldn’t wait. @Trentulas thank you so much for another job well done.

I will go over it and fix some areas of fit and finish (thickening wing posts and painting) and will then post much better shots.

Could we get a full on look? I've been wondering what he looks like in silhouette.

It doesn’t look like much from front on as the cape isn’t that noticeable. I’ll try different configurations when I do the more detailed photo shoot, which will still be “pre sticker.” I’m actually in the middle of painting pieces now so i will oblige when they are done.

Did you go with black versatile or with the Multijet plastic?

    Black versatile.

I know it’s not the best but I’ve used versatile so many times in my projects that it’s what I’m comfortable with. Plus I like the way it takes paint.

I agree, Versatile is a good plastic once you know how to use it. I just wanted to know for when you inevitably post the final pics. Customers like to know what materials were used on finished customs I show off so they know what to grab to get the same.
