Good christ, seeing Apeface at TRU on Saturday was absolutely insane, i never thought i'd see him so soon or even at retail at all.

This was THE ONLY ONE they had in stock, i had to buy it.

 

Snapdragon isn't going to be a Selects figure because that's been a line for repaints and retools and there hasn't been a retail figure that turns into a dragon and a jet that could take that spot.

Snapdragon is gonna be retail. And he'll probably be announced sooner than later.

While I wouldn't be upset, WfC part 3 being BW will be the year I take a break from TF. Hell, probably even reevaluate if I wanna keep buying as the last few years has made my collection nearly perfect already. I don't love Transformers, I only love G1 so no way in hell I'm buying BW stuff.

 

At least you're honest. Many wouldn't say anything like that while that is exactly how they feel.

 

Oh I agree. Other than Black Arachnia (who could kinda fit in with G1) I want no parts of BW. And what most BW fans don't realize is that Hasbro know's that most people who are into TF feel the same way. So they should be happy to get a BW character here and there.

As for the continuous G1/CHUG hunt, there's still a good 80 characters that haven't seen the light of day yet. New (IDW characters other just Drift and Rung) and old (Allicons, Banzai-Tron, Bludgeon, Deluxe Insecticons, etc.).

For me when it comes to "Transformers" all I think of is G1.

 

lol..I didn’t want to derail this thread but this was exactly my thoughts yesterday. Apeface can now be marked of the MIA list...it was personal for me because I owned one as a kid. I personally feel like they should at least redo the combiner teams also.

About Apeface, can’t get past the milky white plastic. Gotta figure out some way to dye his main body...then remove the poorly added ‘damage’. His bio says he is a filthy character but I always liked the clean and contrasting colors of the G1 figure.

 

Yeah, I agree that the kibble and gaps in Ape mode, blocky shape in jet mode and off white colors in Bot mode ruin what should've been a great figure considering the quality of the rest of the Voyager class figures in SIEGE's lineup.

I'm only grabbing him because it's just $25 coming out of a $40 credit that Amazon had to give me, who'll likely end up giving me another credit for screwing up the shipment of him as well.

Maybe he'll look better in hand but as of now... SIEGE Apeface = Free placeholder/cannon fodder.

 

I'm only ever been honest with my collecting. Only G1 and movie toys have ever interested me. Movies only because it got me back, not that I actually care not like the majority of the movies that came out. I'm only here for nostalgia of G1 and if that ever ends my relationship with Transformers ends.

As much as I'm thankful for this figure...this is one of those where I wonder why they executed it like they did. Tail end of Siege, they changed the coloration choices for atleast in the legs. Some would say the body too because nobody expected uncolored plastic. I wonder did they just want to get out a mold they had already designed...figuring people would buy this just to pair him with his partner (which I assume is coming).
