Jeez I am really hoping for the best. I know I say this a lot but he’s One of the best artists in the industry period. And he deserves so much more. Not just because I want to see him draw more robots. I really hope he’s doing okay.

Damn. Having spent some time considerable time in the ICU myself he has my deepest sympathies.

I hope he makes an amazing recovery but the idea that he's still working at his hospital bed is a little outrageous.

I'm so glad the surgery went well and he's at home now! It's unsettling to imagine him working away at his hospital bed, though. I know artists in the comic industry are underpaid and on tight deadlines, and for freelancers there's no such thing as paid sick leave, but I wish he could have had some time off to recover after such an invasive surgery :(

Me too. I rather have Milne to be healthy even it means less art.

It was a miracle he is in Canada not the US.

Oh, I didn't know that! That's great :D . I've had so many artist friends be crushed with medical bills here in the US, esp since freelancers are less likely to have health insurance.

...except he's an artist and doing the things we love helps us heal. My homie had a stroke and the FIRST thing he wanted to do when he got out the hospital was pick up a pen. All the other things he had at stake, and one of his biggest worries was that he wouldn't be able to create art anymore.

I might love drawing, but if I didn't have to make sure money was coming in for my family, I would have loved just to taken a rest after the surgery.

    1) It's super good to see you posting. Glad your recovery is going well.

    2) Knowing you were working when you'd have rather been resting makes me sad.

    3) Stay awesome!

As long as you take care of your self and find some balance. That is not selfish to ask. I rather have you healthy.
