Please no offence intended! I wasn't claiming you personally said it was a promise or a commitment, just that some have miss-remembered or portrayed it as such. It's just important we get the facts straight which is why I shared the text of the interview and translations so no one is under any false impressions  

I actually dug this up from May this year in the old "End all Be all" thread where we had much the same discussion as has been had over the last nine pages. The same people (including myself) making exactly the same points and coming to the same conclusions.

 

I don't believe Lio Convoy is indicative of a shift to BWII/Neo characters, it's likely we see a Big Convoy too once they're done milking the encore releases simply because they're both very popular. I'd like to believe they'd make a point to finish the manageable cast of BW and Metals before doing the animes where they'd run into "large cast syndrome" like they have with G1.

I was thinking the same, they're practically the same deco so I figure having Hydra be a Neo release would be better fill out that line

I'm sure people were saying the same thing about BW MP's until Primal was announced, so nothings off the table, especially considering the significance Botcon has had in Beast Wars media. Whenever Terrorsaur or Rattrap get new figures Fractyl and Packrat are the go to redecoes for a reason. I have yet to see Lazorbeak, Hydra or Labrat with new figures

 

While I don't see Lio Convoy as a shift towards BWII I wouldn't be surprised if we see more BWII and Neo moulds before the 'finish' with Beast Wars and/or Beast Wars Metals. If TT's approach MP was to get a series done before starting another we wouldn't have nay BWMPs yet let alone Lio Convoy.

You're comparing apples and oranges there. Botcon is a Hasbro only thing, only the most hardcore of Japanese fans are going to care about Botcon repaints. Beast Wars was a big deal in japan, I'd always hoped it was only a matter of time before they get some sort of MP attention. Botcon has almost zero significance to the Japanese market, I doubt Botcon redecos of MPs would make commercial sense to TT. For the same reason I'm really not so sure we will see a Grimlock repaint of Dinobot.

 

I don’t know what any of these things are but I understand the importance of repaints to fund original molds so it’s definitely encouraging to see how many options TT has.

We’re all just gonna have to get used to existing in a constant state of ‘wait and see’ where the MPs are concerned because TT are never going to tel us the plan if there even is one beyond ‘if they’re selling, keep me coming.’
We all want this line to carry on so let’s try to exercise a bit of hopefulness. There’s no reason other than worry to think that this ride is over. If we get through Winter Wonder Fest with no news or it’s another BWII announcement then maybe it’s time to panic but it’d be a pretty huge kick in the nads to end the BW MP line on the eve of Beast Wars’ 25 anniversary. Also, Megatron and Blackarachnia make for a pretty odd Predacon team if that’s all they want to give us- and no Rattrap- come one. There’s plenty more to come. It’s just gonna take fucking forever!!

 

I see no doom and gloom in this thread. No one has said its over. No one is panicking. We all know there is more coming.

 

TT put a pic of every character in a tiled pattern on their official BW MP web page. That's a nice adknowledement of the whole cast at least.

Could this mean anything? Probably not but I can see a pattern in character popularity/importance to the story .

 

I don't see a complete line, but there is no way in hell they won't at least give us Waspinator, Rattrap, and Rhinox, most likely in that order. IDK why but I feel like Waspinator will be announced during the holidays.

Finally some tangible evidence, now I can start 'believing'.

 

I love beast wars characters but honestly before they get to the "who are they" of that show (Scorponok, Inferno, Terrorsaur) they need to address Tigerhawk, Depth Charge, Cheetor Transmetal (and others obviously), and Rampage. Badass mold potential and mostly great story beats (except for TIgerhawk who was around for six seconds but was amazing

You are aware that in Japan Season 1 aka Beast Wars is a a separate show, separated by two anime series (BWII/Neo), to season 2/3 aka Beast Wars Metals and (for now) TT are just doing Beast Wars? That not to say they can't or won't skip forward to Metals before they complete the season 1 cast, just that in Japan they are considered quite separate.

I also worry that moulds like Tigerhawk, Depth Charge and Ramage might be prohibitively expensive due to their size. To be honest I'm quite happy for 3P to deal with those mould, JiangXing have already done an excellent (affordable) job with TM2 Megatron and have a Tigerhawk in the pipline.

yes, I'm just saying that I would hope that with the few S1 models theyve done and now the skip to Leo Convoy, that they wouldn't back track to mold out the losers club instead of hitting what would be "deluxe" figures in BW2 and Transmetal. Like I"m sure we'll get a big convoy figure and a couple of others as well

 

Tigerhawk, Depthcharge and Ramage would all be way larger than 'deluxe', bigger than MP-43 Megatron and no doubt more expensive. Of the ones you mention only TM Cheetor fits in anything close to the 'deluxe' bracket.
