Is it really? I mean, he's double Kultur's price, but more than double his size, so...

I always expected 180$. That's what I paid for Carnifex, and though this guy isn't as big, he's certainly wider and will presumably have about the same amount of poseability, transformation and accessories.

I actually expect him to be somewhat easier to deal with than old Carnifex. IIRC, Carnifex is a Cassy Sark design. I don't THINK Mors is, and latter day MMC Reformatted designs tend to lean towards simplicity and better "play" value than the old CS stuff which tends to look nice but sacrifices certain things to get there. No rub on Cassy Sark of course.

Also, yes. CHUGsterpiece. How could I forget. Always hated that damn term. Made me feel like I was getting an ornate beer stein with the Pabst logo on it.

Oh yeah it really is just me misinterpreting the wiki. I just looked it up again. By the way, nice to see a Godzilla fan around here! I think there's an amusing charm to how these kaijus were named. I can't claim to know what any of these translate to, however. Wish i did.
    Ok wow, language

Oh hell to the no, haha. You can tell it isn’t a CS design due to how accurate it is and the lack of greeble/parallel lines and “vents.”

    Very likely Griffith and/or Byrin.

I vet what your saying. For me personally its all CHUG scale. The only difference is that MMC doesn't have to have "classes" because its not run in a cost cutting corporation model. They can just make every figure based off of its actual size in the comic in relation to other characters. But I would argue that most MMC figures scale well with classics Prime or any other voyager Prime. They definitely arent MP scale by Hasbro standards. And MMCs Vos is basically deluxe class and Kaon being a small voyager or a large deluxe on par with Seige Impactor. MMCs inmactor is a bit out of scale though.

The weird thing is that it was supposed to be Deathsaurus despite not looking much like it and the Saurus in both the Dinosaurer and Zaur being spelt the proper way

    But that's ol' Deathy.

I'm WAY more down with the $180 shipped + $5 off next purchase (their rewards system) at Chosen Prime.

In Japanese, his name is デスザラス -- De su za ra su (using Katakana, the characters used for either foreign words or certain types of emphasis)

Since Japanese has no "th" sound, the first two syllables "de su" is the way you would transliterate the English word "death" into Japanese. As for "Zarasu" the use of "za" rather than "sa" is probably stylized, like your above example of "Destroyah" instead of "destroyer" -- The most accurate way to translate his name in English might be "Deathzaurus", but "Deathsaurus" is certainly closer to the original intent than "Dezaras" which drops the initial "su" entirely and is therefore just incorrect.

Disclosure, 1 year of college Japanese, plus 2 years of grad school Japanese as an elective. I have not studied formally since 2005, but watch subtitled anime every day so I have kept my ears in reasonable shape.

Yeah. I can read it and pronounce it, which is about all I retained from high school. I'm also old, so I'm used to how many people would type it in English 20 years ago, which was Dezaras.

It's a free country. I went with 162 shipped. And Baba has a stellar reputation. 20K+ positive ratings from eBay can't be wrong right?

Not to mention you have paypal protection until next May. The only problem I can think of is MMC delay it further, what will happen if it passes the 180 days paypal protection mark?

An additional $5 coupon that I have never used bring it down to $157, compared to $180 from TCP. You are really tempting me to pull the trigger.

That's fair. But I had an order that's 10 months old and Baba shipped it. Worse come to worse, you can always open a dispute before 6 months have passed.

Then you can simply buy it from TCP or wherever.

The downside really is you have to pony up money NOW. For me it's worth it. Can't even earn 20 bucks in interest from 162.
