I still see Caliburst in store for retail. I have no clue why he's $33. And yeah I know your pain. Every time I go out of my way for a figure, the price of it plummets. Every time.

They are watching us, they enjoy our suffering. The midwest has been pretty weird when it comes to what we do and don't get, In my area we had wave 1 of cw for so long and then suddenly my target was full of that cw wave with the ark bots. welp here's to hopping over time siege ratchets will become less coveted and I'll be able to find one. because my walgreens only had the rest of that wave and I don't think they'll restock until those three deluxes are sold. or not I am no retail man

This is why i use my Tfcc sg cw starscream as my skydive and I'll never try to get an actual skydive. Hopefully I can complete bruticus, that's the only one I need to complete, aside from like the seacons which yea, fuck no. I ain't paying that much for a 5 deluxes and one voyager who looks kinda eh.

I made the mistake of trusting Brickseek yesterday...searched for Jetfire after hearing that some people found him for $19.99. Out of stock, out of stock, out of stock...LIMITED STOCK! Drove way out of my way to that Walmart and of course they didn't have Jetfire.. talked to several people who worked there, too.

(They did have the 35th Anniversary figures, though.)

Just didn't want any ambiguity by being cute. Still, that's a hell of a good name.

I went full KO for the CW figures that I missed out on. And overall, the Combaticons were a bit loose but quality, appeared very close to originals except for Blastoff that seems off for the connector part as it's got a gap. But the Aerialbots/Superion (full set), the KOs' plastic fell better quality than all my authentic CW figures, just some looseness for some joints, easily fixed with Pledge.

The Leader Class "debate." Are we calling it a debate? Whatever. Its awful. We get it, you want tall, they not tall. If you think the toy is bad, that's one thing. Saying it isn't a leader class because its short and ignoring the extra pieces is just wrong. They aren't giving you 50 dollar person with free extras, the entire thing is 50 dollars.

I don’t mind Siege leaders being “voyagers + extras” but I wish that translated to better extras or more advanced engineering for the base figure. I think Studio Series has pulled it off better. DOTM Prime and his trailer are flawed but still feels like it has more going on than Siege Shockwave and his armor stuff.

I have come to the conclusion that the term “geewunner” in used in a negative sense is a big misleading, the stereotypically geewunners only care about guys in 84-86ish or just 84-85 that’s not even all of g1 >:[
I’ve never seen those types of people spam forum threads about a mp sureshot. It’s all about the guys who appeared in the cartoon. And that’s what hastak panders to, not g1 but specially that part of g1. so, should we rename “geewunner” and “g1 fanwank” to “84-86 fanwank?”

I dunno I just like talking and I thought this was semi interesting to rant about

There used to be a thread with that title, but I remember getting yelled at for bumping it and asking why we don't use it for rants...:(

So I'm in Lima and visited a mall yesterday, wherein I find a store selling tfs. "Jolly good!" I think to myself in faux British, eyeing a siege ironhide amidst some bargain priced deluxe figures. But what to my surprise when I should finally see his price at the register greater than 70 sol (roughly 20 usd, so not the bargain price of the others). This isn't really a rant against that store or the price of the figure, rather that their price tags ought to be more noticeable. Oh well, not like I'm ever coming back here again.

I try to remind myself that it's usually not about the toys, that that kind of trollish behavior comes from guys who want to spread their misery because they're frustrated and disappointed with other areas of their life. They feel helpless and impotent and raining on other people's parade makes them feel like they have a little power. It's sad and pathetic. Ignoring them really is the best way to deal with them because all they want is attention.

    That is so TRUE.

I don't have anyone on ignore, mainly because of the mod status. Even so, I have been tempted.

As for a rant, I have seen it more often than not that if someone dislikes movie figures that they're "Geewunners" in the derrogative sense.
No, it's because people like different things and no one is wrong in liking what they like.

Kinda pissed that Walmart clearanced out Jetfire so quickly after he was released.
Seriously, what company in their right mind does that?
Didn't even have a chance to grab one because they only had about 2 per store to begin with.

At least you have stores that carry the bigger figures. My Walmart only has Deluxes and Voyagers. If I go to the next town over I can sometimes find the smaller figures (only 1 Target) or Leaders. Anything else it's online only.

I've seen Jetfire in a store once ever, when it was still $80. Even $45 would have been more do-able for me.

    Ebay:
The import costs make it nigh-impossible to drop the prices below US retail. In Lima and Bogotá, i’ve seen TFs cost approximately the same as retail here (US), but those prices are prohibitive to most of the population.
