Shame Sam's had to take some time out & isn't around here lately... I feel like he would have found something interesting out.

I still think that the Cliffjumper listing might hold some water, he or Mirage is where my money is at.
I think TakaraTomy really wants to hurry n' finish the main S1 & S2 guys and just pump out reissues for years & years when all is said and done.

Would make me a happy man if 2020 involved seeing these G1's:
Cliffy
Mirage
Starscream V3
Galvatron

I bet the BW guys get Inferno, which seems to be a popular choice from what I can see.

 

...and that never made sense to me. Making cassettes without Blaster is like producing only one or two Constructicons with no Devastator in sight or a HeadMaster with no body.

Nah I get it he’s popular and that mould is old. But still, I don’t get any hopes or expectations for Takara. I just react to what they do.

 

I get what you mean that Trailbreaker and Hoist are very different with all the details lists earlier but don’t discount Inferno and Grapple as “simple”. They technically only share 50% same parts.

 

Yeah but I mean more than that. They work exactly the same. But HoistBreaker have completely different proportions and kibble.

 

I’m saying I’m in agreement with you on TB and Hoist, totally. BUT let’s not refer to Inferno and Grapple as simple since they only share 50% of the same parts. It’s just something most people overlook, Inferno and Grapple aren’t even the same height.

 

True. They absolutely feel like different figures to me. It’s amazing. They could’ve simply gone and make them the same but they didn’t.

Interesting about the height. But Hoist is tubby and Trailbreaker is stocky. Hoist has arm flaps and Trailbreaker doesn’t. Their legs also largely different.

I get what you’re saying. But H & TB achieve so many different results despite being connected. I think it’s gonna be a lot more than just slightly different parts.

Same sentiment for Cliffjumper.

 

I can’t say I’m too excited about the Cliffjumper talk as I’m such a non-fan of BB 2.0 that it’s the only carbot design to date that I’m skipping. I have 3 Primes and 2 Megs and Starscreams but the feet, back and car mode just put me right off. If CJ is a retool/uses the same basic design I can’t imagine I’ll bother.

Mirage would be most welcome, of course, as would Trailbreaker or any of the other minibots. And as ever, I would kill you all with nary a second thought if it meant green lighting MP Jazz, finally.

Shouldn't be too big a deal honestly, Grapple ended up being stockier too.

 

The slight and subtle differences are my favorite things about Inferno and Grapple.

 

I think this is a side effect of not having a lot of news before a release. I expect the only thing we'll hear is another delay for Bumblebee. If not, and we're getting close to his release, it should be smooth sailing.

I love the new transformers figures because of their posabiity and paint. But I've got FT's Willis, which was a present from my wife. No way I'm getting rid of him. However, I'd totally get a toy-accurate Hound. I hope they do that repaint down the line.

 

Well carbots get atleast one general release repaint, though Im betting on Dietritus, being that release and later on a TTMall "toy" version maybe.

 

It’d be nice if we got hasbro to release some MPs so they could do a Detritus.

 

Whoops, I think I've been saying December 31 as well, however that isn't actually a Saturday. Looking at my notes, it was December 28 all along.

Just went on Amazon Japan to double check, and it currently says the release date is December 26! Dunno if this is an error though.
