I was under the impression they intend him to be a Double Headmaster like Fort Max.

Maybe a Selects version. I will be annoyed if he's he's sold in a box set with a bunch of other figures that I don't really want.

Perhaps Quintessa is a Modulator like Ironworks.

 

Oh yeah Scorponok is so buy on site. Though the stores in my area have never carried the Titan class transformers. Look like it will be on line for me.

I'm really hoping the Quintessons rumor is true. I'll pass on Sky Lynx since I have the Combiner Wars version (although I can see why people would want a bigger figure of him). Scorponok is a maybe depending on how much room/money I have. If these rumors turn out to be true, it's interesting that Hasbro is grouping both season two and three concepts/characters into the same line almost as if they're saving something like Beast Wars for part three.

I'm really excited to see these new figures! My guess for Quintessa is the prosecutor from the movie. He's smaller than the judges and he had the most dialogue.

Maybe the Quints are Modulators, like Ironworks and the Weaponizers from Siege!

 

I\'m very happy we\'ll be getting a commander skylynx I feel it was only a matter of time before we got one. Also it\'ll be interesting to see how hasbro and takara will go about doing a quintessentially and quintesson, also I\'m wondering if runamuck will be wave 2 or 3, I\'m also thinking that\'s when one or two characters from the mercenary faction will make they\'re debut.

A Voyager modular weapons platform that turns from a Quintesson into their pit:


As an added bonus, it'd be sized to let Micromasters walk the plank. Quintessa could be a deluxe platform that turns into a structure that, when paired with the pit, would let Micromasters (or a Titanmaster) sit in a throne watching over it.

One thing I'd try to pull off with a Quintesson is Titan master compatibility. Even if you can't plug in five faces...let them have at least one that's compatible.

Who would you suggest? I suppose Tidal Wave is a candidate but I can understand why WfC is primarily focused on G1.

Kind of weird to see the Quints in a line that, at least from what we've seen so far, seems to be focused on Earth modes.

Personally I had no need for any Quintesson figures, at any price point, so this doesn't exactly get me riled up.

 

It really wasn't.

CW was a (successful) attempt at bringing the previously side-market Generations line into the mainstream by incorporating gimmicks and play patterns into the classic character updates. Combiners were just a logical, untapped area to experiment with that allowed a "safe" cross-figure play pattern that could be easily sustained. (since nearly the entire line were combiners, literally all you needed was any four deluxes and any one voyager and you could make a combiner. No risk of repeating the Energon Combiners debacle of not having whole teams available at the same time)
