Back during beast hunters all of the predacons were officially labeled as dragons

 

true, i'd like some upgrades to those mods when 3rd party jumps on Prime it's going to be epic, bw as well i may actually support mp figures of some those but i'd rather newer awesome updates

 

An MP figure could just be large and maybe diecast/chogokin, like FansHobby’s MasterForce MPs, but... welcome revisions are still mostly the forte of smaller figures.

TFWiki says that it’s actually an Ursagryph, and... I expected google to give me some D&D results—since Hasbro owns that license, too. But, nope, just TFWiki came up~ Ursagryph - Transformers Wiki

Even though I didn’t see a lick of TF Prime, I’ll vouche for calling them dragons since, at most abstract, a dragon is just a chimera.

Now, a dragon should usually be some kind of mythic lizard, but often what constitutes the Mythical is the Chimerical.

And... I should grant that I might be so forgiving from my recollection of Reza Negarestani’s collaboration for Florian Hecker’s “Chimerizations.”  

 

oh Prime was a great series though i only saw the first 2 seasons i have to watch season 3, the toys didn't do most of the figures justice either

 

Man, up until today I had no idea what Generation Toy or DX9 were doing with these strange original designs that seemed like they did not fit into any series I had seen before. After learning about the T-Beasts books and designs I’m actually starting to look into picking up the GT-10 Gorilla figure and starting a collection of these guys, the designs look amazing and the 3P companies are doing a great job bringing them to life

 

Just got the T-beast books through the post and I like designs from them. Although just makes me wonder what could’ve been in a third book. I mean I’d like to see what a dragon OPTIMUS prime would look like.

 

Last month, I came across some research of LazyAza’s detailing the conitributors to the Zukan books, since that’s actually a title of a group of artists who are probably still active on Pixiv and other image sites.

So, there’s a chance that someone has already made their attempt at a Draconian Prime.

I don't mind a little Pride of cats it's kinda fun - Like Transformers Thundercats.

As for Gaidora being a Dragon - if he isn't I don't know what he would be - he's got an extremely Draconic head with a beak and fluffy ears and a segmented muscled tail. Not all Dragons have long necks and some don't have wings either.. Perhaps he's the kind that lives in caves or can dig holes to live in. He's got very big feet perhaps he's like an otter or a beaver and can swim and live on the land too.

He never bothered me as not looking draconic - he just got wrapped into my mind with things like Monsterbots and Horrorcons as a dangerous beast who can rend with tooth and claw in combat.

We never really got much content for the Beast Hunters Predacons (derived designs) other than Transformers Go and some minor promotional stuff making a joke out of them with Shockwave Hasbro released. I tend to just imagine there is a parallel dimension where Ultra Magnus didn't murder them as babies and the Autobots also found some of the classic armour and gear to enable them to fight them at all.

man this guy is one of the best T-beast realizations from page to toy in my opinion. great proportions

 

Yeah it looks really well done probably the most accurate so far, it looks like it jumped right out of the pages
