Keep in mind they're saying this figure is coming out around December. If that's even remotely close to being the case, it's probably already in production. A better argument might be to ask this for an extra with either Volatus or the Brawl figure.

I personally don't need a black toy-style head for Onslaught. Despite my love for a toy-style Bruticus, a solid-chested, blue-headed Onslaught is what I want.

That being said, I don't care for light up gimmicks. I don't need batteries leaking in my toys, and I don't want my toys looking all dead-eyed 99.999% of the time when the light isn't turned on. I'd happily ditch the electronics for a nice coat of bright metallic paint on the eyes. If a side effect of that is that people who want a black Onslaught head can have one so much the better.

Except in this case neither Onslaught or Bruticus have dead eyes. In fact the transparent, colored visors look much better than simple paint IMO, much like the original release of MP-13. I’d be really unhappy if we lost them.

Took a look at Paik’s review. Looks excellent. I think I kind of accept how his torso is more at the ab crunch. Even though his legs are extremely low that works way more.

But the blue is really nice, articulation is good. I’d like to see him in more poses though. He’s kinda stunted in a lot of photography.

The LEDs are kinda weird though. I think I could do without them as well. Especially since they only light up for a couple seconds. The eyes look good as is. And if it means we get the black head in the upgrade set that’s great as well.

    Preach.

I don't have a preference for head color but I definitely prefer more paint/color options to any electronic gimmick, especially light-up eyes. On masterpiece, painted eyes, please. Always.

I prefer light up features over paint, but I would rather have both!

So the disproportionate part is actually the waist/ nappy area. Is the designer the same as Hellion’s I wonder? That has similar proportion oddness. I still think it looks great though. I’ll be selling my Zeta set for this.

All the Ocular Max designs are Alex Kubalsky's engineering if I'm remembering right (the transformations anyway; I think it's different people who do the actual final aesthetics). Though by all means, if I'm wrong, do correct me.

I thought he had purple metallic eyes? Those look like flat colours.

    Vortex's aren't metallic. So I'm guessing his aren't either.

I’m really excited for Fraudo. I do wish the windscreen had a bit of colouring to hide the parts beneath it. Not sure I’m brave enough to attempt to customise it

Having the screen made more opaque was actually something I requested before he released back in september but unfortunately his parts were already in production then so it just wasn't possible.

Speaking of his windscreen its also very tightly pinned to the point I'd ask that everyone please make sure not to flex it and instead hinge it as close to the hinge as you can when you move it back and forth. Might end up cracking it if you're not careful.

If anyone ends up having trouble with the transformation my review is up now. Went over all his robot mode particulars and most of leg mode too. Thanks to both Paiks previous stream vid and Nems photos I was able to be thorough so big thanks to both.

Maybe wait for Toyhax stickers? I was also a bit turned off by the windscreen. Also because the sides are open instead of closed like in the cartoon. His face looks on point though.

Still might pick him up. One of my favourite chars. Up there with Starscream and Dead End.

I do like light up features, so I'm always gonna favor the LED head. So, I'm fine with people pushing for an extra black head, either with the set or with one of the other figures, but not axing the feature entirely.
