I gotta ask, is that red paint or dye you used on Ratchet's pelvis and hands?

 

It's amazing how much a deco tweak can make a figure look more like the character it's supposed to be. I don't know why Hasbro though random red rectangles all over the figure made any kind of sense.

 

It's dye, a little too much in pursuit of an even tone to be honest but he'll do.
Prising apart his pants was the hard part, to quote Egg Shen,"It wasn't easy!"

Had a feeling, MrUniqZ over in Radicons did the same thing, though according to them they didn't pry the crotch apart, they just dyed the entire combined part as is. Both your results look great either way.

May I ask which specific dye you used and how specifically you went about the process? I plan on doing this myself but I've never dyed a figure before.

 

Feelin the bot mode, alt mode can't tell if he's coming or going but as good as he looks there's something about the classics silhouette.

 

So that's why I can't find a Sideswipe.

crazy thing is I kinda want to do all three again when I have time to make a perfected set  . Ollie’s where are you at  . And to answer someone on Dye for Ratchet...Rit has cherry red and race red. I used Cherry red..low boil for 20 minutes. Soak for 40. You only need a few pours to get a good deep stain. Don’t dump the bottle into the water.

I think another member showed Sideswipe/Alerts plastic taking to the dye also.

10. Voyager Ion Storm: The best looking, IMHO, of the three-pack.
9. Deluxe Skytread: Glad we got Flywheels. I like this guy better than Battletrap because he's simpler and not a pain in the aft to convert.
8. Voyager Thundercracker: My favorite Seeker character, and this is a decent-looking iteration of the mold.
7. Voyager Skywarp: Who said repaints were bad? This guy is the Siege Seeker mode done right. I don't even mind the dark grey instead of black because it makes the molded detail show up better. I love that he came with three Battlemasters, even if two of them are not really his.
6. Deluxe Brunt: Not the best Weaponizer, but he helps complete Trypticon and makes the big daikaiju's city mode look more loads better.
5. Voyager Megatron: Still the best damn-good-looking tank alt. mode in Siege, and maybe since CW Megatron, and his robot mode doesn't have CW's issues.
4. Deluxe Barricade: I've been waiting for a Generations Barricade ever since I saw the first live-action movie, and this guy delivers.
3. Voyager Soundwave: The sneaky spymaster gets to be a triple-changer even if the third mode is just a suspicious-looking lamppost.
2. Deluxe Refraktor: Ya gotta get three of 'em, but until you do, they are awesome little figures in their own right and long overdue. When you do get three, the camera mode makes it worth it, IMHO.
1. Leader Shockwave: The power-up parts and the fact that he can still assume his G1 laser gun mode make the Voyager-size Shockwave worth the Leader-class price to me.
