your video shows that the entire wheel assembly CAN spin around the head like it does in the movie. the stalk that hold up thew wheel above scavengers head is the only thing preventing the movement though.

can you look to see if that stalk detaches from either the body or the wheel? I feel like it should be able too once scavenger is entirely in robot mode and then the stalk would fold away into the body or the wheel to allow the whole assembly to spin around.

I have a feeling that though the chest transformation seems right, there's something off about the wheels, as if they were meant to sit behind Mixmaster's cab to emulate the back hole of the grinder, I feel as if the shoulders are meant to rotate downwards to sit besides the wheels

 

I actually think it's done correctly in this instance.

Remember, Devastators natural position is hunched over and the exit portion of the grinder is actually lower on his back than people remember i think. The grinder goes straight through his torso, not sitting up on his shoulders.

This was never going to be a "perfect" Devs. Even the new 3rd party MP option takes liberties with Mixmaster alone. But just the fact that SS Devs looks this damn good so far is awesome in and of itself.

 

I was gonna get the full set for Devy regardless, but that video kinda re-hyped me for him. That torso/head mode actually looks pretty good, plus I'm sure Overload's vortex grinder bits will help it even more.

 

With a 3rd party add on kit I’m sure this guy will be great

The ONLY issues I have with Devastator are the rather thin upper arms and the feet, which look proportionally too large.

I lie. The other issue is that he's not completed in my hands right this moment.

 

For those of you who keep track, how likely are Mixmaster and Scavenger will be released before Christmas?

 

Well their release date is only about a week after Xmas so them starting showing up sometime in mid to late December doesn’t seem unreasonable.

 

As much as I hate the studio series line and the micheal bayverse id have to say I’m baffled with all the people reacting to the prototype picture. Hasbro has had a bad history with mistransforming the toys on display and on stock photos and that infamous picture of devastator is no exception. Hell his name is even spelled wrong on the card. Yet you guys act like manbabies and start to think this is the final product. Smh even though I do think the design is already garbage. You guys are taking it out on your selves
