Upper chest window is red instead of orange/yellow.

I was looking at my display of boxes and was thinking how unbalanced the figure count is between Autobots and Decepticons. Turns out...I was wrong. I keep a spreadsheet for my Siege addiction with each release, what I've paid, blah blah blah. I added every figure up (including remolds and redecos). There are a total of 104 figures released over 68 retail packages.

The largest package has 10 figures (the Target/TRU Micromasters).
3 in the Target Rainmakers pack.
3 in the Amazon Fan Vote pack.
3 in the Amazon Alphastrike pack.
3 in the Amazon Phantomstrike pack.
3 in the Refraktor Recon Team pack.
2 in the Amazon Greenlight pack.
2 in each of the Micro Masters packs.
I also counted 2 additional cartoon color versions of Refraktor because this really is meant to be a trio.

And the verdict is? There are a grand total of 52 Decepticon figures and 52 Autobot figures. Exactly balanced.

I suppose I was thrown off in my thinking because there are zero Decepticon Commander or Titan releases. Meaning, the sheer space Jetfire and Omega take up on the shelf make it appear unbalanced.

The final count I came up with:

    Capture.JPG

I presumed Autobots would be more plentiful. I was wrong. Though, I'm still saddened we did not get a Cybertronian version of Bumblebee!

Clearly Hasbro has maximized many of the molds they created (either in whole or in part). There are 2 Deluxe versions of Prime and 3 Deluxe versions of Megatron. Going to further extremes, Hasbro has offered 6 Refraktor's (ugh) with the trio in the Recon pack and hoping we purchase (like I did) 3 single retail packs of the cartoon colored version. Then, of course, we have 6 Seeker redeco/repaints (love them!). There are also several that are in duplicates based on redeco/repaints (like Mirage/Holo Mirage, Soundwave/Soundblaster, Hound/Hot Shot, and some of the Battlemasters, and so on). Plus the remolds like Chromia/Nightbird/Greenlight, Ironhide/Rachet, etc).

I was surprised how many more Voyager releases the Decepticons had versus how many more Deluxe releases the Autobots had. On a figure count level, everything does balance out.

From a price-tag perspective, all 68 releases - which include the upcoming December releases - tally up to around $2000 USD (at American MSRP). Even then the breakout is about 50/50! I presumed I had spent way more on Autobots because Jetfire and Omega are so much more expensive. Nope!! It is about $1000 USD on each faction. Color me surprised!! The added $10 cost to the Voyagers over Deluxes really adds up quick.

This was, absolutely, not what I was expecting when I decided to investigate. Hasbro really did give a balanced series with Siege. There is plenty of depth included. Not everyone will/can get the exclusive releases or WFC:GS releases. Still, I'm totally impressed with this series. It wasn't until I started this post that I realized how equal Siege was overall. I'm very happy with the quality of the figures. They're not MP quality and I don't expect them to be. The playability level is high. The detail level is high (though some have more gaps than I'd like...so spending more coin on gap fillers). I'm very satisfied. So, this year I'll have contributed over $2000 (not including pre-paying Unicron) to Hasbro and the various retailers. I'm actually truly happy with that. I haven't been this into a TF series in a looooooooooong time. I see enough value in Siege to dip into my wallet and hand over my hard-earned cash. I hope they keep it up with Earthrise. I must admit, I'm pretty excited about this map-piece gimmick.

Anyway...just thought I'd share my newly found observations with y'all :)

So what are some most basic gap fillers for Siege Impactor?

I picked up the "RATCHET STUDIO ROS-008 GAP FILLERS FOR WFC SIEGE IMPACTOR UPGRADE KIT" from TFSafari and I'm very happy with them. You can see some pictures I posted a few pages back. The Utopia fillers look really nice too :)

Yeah, thanks for the replies but I'm already familiar with these. I was hoping for more basic, perhaps thigh only fillers and the price up to 9-10$ max but we will see.
    Mind pointing me some pics/page, Redog75? :)

Thanks for this. I didn't even realize how much I've spent on this line as I've about bought just about every single figure in this line minus a few that I haven't picked up yet and I still need to get Omega Supreme, I don't want to miss out on getting him he's such a great looking figure.

Then add the Studio Series, buying those up too hasn't been cheap either.

I do wish we did get a Cybertronian version of Bumblebee.

I was dragging my feet on ordering the Utopia ones, I did not know about the one you mentioned.

I think I will actually go with the Ratchet Studios one since it's a buck cheaper and there's more filler bits. Gray is okay.

    Thanks! :)

And thanks for the 'rundown' :p  on the Siege line. Interesting read.

Yes. Red to match original G1 toy and cartoon color scheme. I assume for cost reasons they made all the hard clear pieces yellow on Omega Supreme (visor, eyes, chest window, and main tank door).

DNA kits are not out yet...and likely won't be until next year. They are notorious for delays...lasting months.

Looks like they're going to redesign the legs based on 'feedback':

I don't own Impactor but this one seems the most interesting to me:
【Pre-Order】GX-05 Uptrade Kit for WFC Siege Impactor ( Upgrade Kit+ Gap Fillers)
    image_859ccbd3-4351-4e64-828c-6dbbcc1d052a_1024x1024.jpg

I haven't tried a GX kit yet, though, so can't attest for quality. I bought some of their null rays but won't get here for a while.

Yeah I really didn't need to be reminded on how much I've spent on this line. And I'm probably gonna spend around that much on Earthrise next year as well.

I got Siege Mirage over a month ago. Was wondering, is he hard to come by?

Went and painted the black missile pods on Sixgun's torso with some silver paint, and now they look like actual missiles.

My favorite TF of today is Siege Sixgun.

A couple weeks ago, I only saw a two of him, total, in the Targets in my town. Now I'm seeing 2-3 of him at both Target and Walmart. Same with Impactor, FWIW. And weirdly, seeing loads of Megatrons. Have yet to see an OP in store.
