I know that all signs point to the ‘86 character not being Scourge, but it would be really nice if it was. He and Hot Rod were done dirty by Titans Return. Plus, it would increase the likelihood of us finally getting a Fracas that isn’t just a crap redeco.

The idea of the omega supreme style backstory would fit very well, I kind of love the idea. The only thing is Hasbro has been super accurate recently so the ark might be out unless they made a g1 version of the Arclight since that kind of looks like his alternate mode

Wasn't there a rumour about the Titans Return Galvatron mold being reused somewhere? Super Megatron or something?

We've seen a silhouette of super megatron and pictures should go up as soon as takara and hasbro pulse list it for pre-order

My speculation on the pack from most to least likely

    Decepticon platinum 86 pack
    TR galvatron in grey
    Takara style cw cyclonus
TR scourge using takara sweep titan master head
    Battlemaster fracas
    Micromaster plane as cyclonus's armada

    Quintesson pack
Overcharge fromTR blitzing or from a new blitzwing mould
    Alicon from TR skullcruncher
    Legends gnaw as sharkticon
Smash down as a humanoid quint
    New quint battlemaster mould

    Junkions
    Nancy from elita one
    Detritus from siege hound
    Legends wreck gar from CW
A junkion repaint of the micromaster truck
    Junkion themed battlemaster

The thing is, those are all kind of unlikely because they involve past molds of pre WFC, so those would only work if they were to be at a convention

Generations selects (and wfc store exclusives) has used pre wfc figures, so as unlikely as it may be, it’s still a possibility. Greenlight, lancer, ricochet and red swoop were all power of the primes molds/remolds

I would honestly love a new Cyclonus and Scourge that look like they jumped right out if the '86 movie. Takara Cyclonus and Headmaster Scourge were kinda close but not quite there.

The last platinum autobot pack was all older moulds and so were the junk planet and cyclonus armada pack

But these new packs are mainline, not platinum edition right? So why are people comparing them to platinum edition(which is more or less a dead line)?

Platinum's been dead for like 3 years. Plus, Generations Selects has only used molds from PotP and sooner, or at least the Hasbro releases of it have, because technically Selects started during PotP I believe.

At the risk of hyperbole, the entire trilogy has no purpose for me if it doesn't deliver definitive versions of all of the movie characters to go alongside Unicron. Ultra Magnus (though I wish his alt mode were earthen) and Springer are a good start, but there is a long way to go. After we get those, bring on the Beast Wars!

If you want to play that game we haven't had any selects boxsets and nobody said it was necessarily a selects release, just an exclusive.
