He's pretty fantastic and scales surprisingly well with MS Prime.

After seeing some of these pictures I'm glad I went with the "metallic". Mine has finally arrived in the US so I cant wait.

 

Yeah, I love his gun mode. Transformed him three times so far and still no sign of paint wear. This guy is sturdy.

 

Definitely a mileage may vary situation. I picked up mine a couple of weeks ago, well after release from a TaoBao seller. I got the add-ons in a small baggy (identical to @JeremyGui ) The baggy was labelled "initial premium" and was outside of the main NewAge box, loose in the packaging. I didn't pre-order but presumably, my seller (Mong Kok Animation) had leftover kits.
They're pretty cool, I love that it comes with three "coruscating" laser effects, a smaller blast effect and one larger "pine cone" style thrust-ish effect. Should allow some fun posing with the other Decepticons. Three are different and more elaborate than the laser effects coming with the Seekers, and one is identical, while the last kind of looks similar to the thruster effects they're getting... which is fun.

The downside is that it doesn't look like any of them work with the Alt mode suppressor/silencer barrel.

 

Yeah, I was hoping something would scale with THS-02. I extend his waist a little bit and NA Megatron is only half a head taller. It's good enough for me.

Hard to say. I do know the prices are too good for an Ebay seller. Might want to wait a while and see if any negative feedback starts rolling in.

Yeah, normally I'm good about that. But the seller is still on the good list, and so I assumed it was one of those seller-price wars.

 

Yeah, I got bit by a reputable seller having 30%-40% off 'sales'. He went rogue. Hopefully that's not the case here. What's the margin of difference between what a Chinese retailer sells to locals and what they sell to Westerners for (on eBay etc)? Ie, would a Chinese merchant be able to sell for half off and still break even?

I got a shipping notice with no tracking information. Assuming something was actually sent, it looks like we will have to wait for the box of whatever crap shows up before starting the refund process, correct? Looking at the most recent feedback (posted since Loserbroadside and I made our purchases) this seller has sent empty packages and incorrect items.

 

Got my metallic plus bonus parts. Super happy with him.

Something about the EX is really appealing. And I'm not really a fan of the chest squiggles usually. I'm >.< this close to picking one up just to see for myself.
