Not only that... it's really strange that XTB leaked pics of the combined Menasor/Monolith... but nothing on Gravestone... not a peep. Weird. Maybe the re-design... needed a re-design.

I mean, that's the thing though, because of the Menasor suit design, the two are sorta independent of each other. So they might be satisfied with how Menasor turned out (despite the complaints on this board, but it looked fine to me) but didn't feel MM was up to snuff and decided to tweak it a little more. In the end, whatever further changes they make they just need to make sure it still fits in the hole in the back of Menasor.

Or they're taking a page from FT and not showing the changes until it's too late and in our hands lol

Whatever is going on XTB has their re-work on Gravestone cut out for them. Gravestone was the weakest looking MM from 3 prototypes of FT, DX9, and XTB. And now that FT RK has stunned the world with the folding trailer, DX9 has killed it with the trailer housing the entire combiner frame... XTB needs something spectacular to compete. The stout chubby baby in a diaper prototype we have seen before is definitely not going to cut it, given the competition.

I could be mistaken, but isn't XTB doing the exact same thing as DX9 with the combiner body/frame being build out of the trailer? The only difference is that their Motormaster is comprised of solely the front truck cab. If that's the case, they could still wow us with a cleverly designed combiner body. The only real shortcoming imo is that less that flattering Motormaster which we haven't seen final images of yet.

I don't believe this was ever confirmed. And IIRC there have been 2 re-designs of Gravestone thus far... and if you look back at the Monolith/Menasor prototype pics post back a bunch of pages... it really didn't look like there was much of a trailer used in the combined bot. Maybe the lower legs and forearms?

For all we know XTB Gravestone's trailer is simply a shoe box to hold all the combiner parts (head/feet/hands) and pants inside???

    Pretty much.

Just a hunch but I think this MM will turn out the best of the 3. It'll be the right height in comparison to mp44 and not have odd splatter feet and gorilla arms. Kinda like the half way between FT and DX9. I think at this point it'll more than likely be shown when there's a full colour test as not to confuse those of us that get confused easily.

I guess we shall see when it's finally revealed, however the early prototype pics definitely show hinges and segments of plastic folding together in the torso, lower legs, and even the feet.

Even the back of the combiner thighs appear to have panels on the sides that unfold on visible hinges.

If they were going the Zeta route and plugging Motormaster into a combiner shell, it seems odd to include this engineering with no alternate purpose.
I do agree though, in the end XTB has some stiff competition for their Motormaster! I hope they bring something special to the table.

Just my own opinion, seeing that I'm now in on both XTB and FT sets, I honestly don't care if the combined mode parts are parts forming or transforming from MM's trailer. As long as the combined mode is sturdy and can pose well, I'll be happy.

DX9 Capone's extra, super, duper, long, long, ridonkulous, long trailer is just silly. Can't help but feel that could have been better engineered to make it smaller, but don't know if it would have cost stability.

It's not that bad and he has obviously got one that required the mods that have been well talked about on here and ignored them and still tried to transform it, overheats shoulders where the wheels turn down has a clearance issue that needed filed down on the first run of figures and if not done resulted in the shoulders cracking, sellers and xtb got parts as soon as they could but it wasn't fast enough for most on here and quite frankly shouldn't have happened in the first place if plastic was correctly mixed.

IIRC this was the 1st version... with the car shell arms (which would have been a cool accessory to include and let the buyer decide to use or not)... which have been killed. Not seeing enough trailer panels here either... looks like maybe Gravestone folds up and sits inside the back box?... but who knows. If @ibot would just give a few more details on Gravestone... that would go a long way.

My DX9 Atilla will spend his life in combined mode... so not a worry for me. But I agree...

It was confirmed. I feel this should be stickied given the uncertainty and speculation! We even know how long it is...

That's of course if it all panned out.

What they've never said, though, unless I missed it, was that Gravestone was being redesigned. I feel people are just speculating and hoping based on his absence and less than stellar reception of the prototype, but nothing mentioned about a redesign as far as I recall.

    From page 413:

    Page 414

I'm 99.99% sure it was mentioned somewhere in this thread that Gravestone was being reworked. And confirmed by ibot... I don't know the page... but someone will probably cite it.

And how XTB is going to accomplish the Gravestone trailer being able to transform in to the entire Menasor/Monolith frame (arms/legs/torso)... from a MP-10 sized trailer... while at the same time being empty and spacious enough inside to hold MP-size Autobot cars?!?!?

C'mon man! Has to be: Mass/Space shifting at work here... or XTB Quark/Blackhole tech.

Yeah I really hope they aren’t prioritizing fitting the cars in the trailer. I’ll take a rad Menasor body over any amount of fitting cars in the trailer

I’m leaning toward Shattered Glass Autobot symbols for my X-TRansbots G2 Stunticons set personally.

I know some would prefer extra room in the trunk to put things...
