It's a separate company, they are doing transforming numbers and not existing characters like third party do.
I mean with that logic you might as well call Gobots and Convertors and Power Rangers megazords "third party" too.  
But yeah those things look great, and fine enough for me as number-bots.

Axwell was originally supposed to be red (he was shown as such at Toyfair last year), but was changed to light blue for unknown reasons.

Yeah that Series 2 & 3 preview article from last year had him in red too. I hope we actually get it in future waves (and that we see older teams come out of retirement in general) as I love that mold and think it looks great in red.

 

Botbot Avocando

 

As Acacando has holes for a flightstand - does that imply they can fly in robot mode ?

 

I am envious of your guys' cameras.

But not quite envious enough to buck up and upgrade my own.

 

Whilst you can use those holes for a flight stand, I think they are safety air holes (like you get in pen lids) so if kids put the toys in their mouths and accidentally choke on them, their airways aren’t blocked.

IIRC the larger, rounder Botbots all have them. The American football and the doughball/soccer ball are two more examples.

 

Ah... "Interesting" I wonder if this is an excuse Hasbro can use for putting so many gaps in their weapons too then ?
The holes do work great though as flight stand points for something like Sour wing.

I went thru the new BotBots I got this weekend. I'm still missing five from Series 2 and two from Series 1. I still don't have either deco of the game controller or the can of tuna, otherwise I have every original mold from the first two series.

I'll grab some Series 3 in January, but I won't buy heavily into them since almost 2 out of 3 are just repaints. Since we don't seem to be getting the Lawn League, I have steeled myself to not having a complete BotBots collection, but as long as I have one version of each mold, I'll be okay.
