Definitely warrants buying him tbf. He's a beauty especially as he can function as radio towers for tryps and scorponok.

Looking at your pictures made me realize I never had Trypticon in his base mode, I was so worried about his thigh ratchets that I forgot about the base mode.

I'll pull him out of his box when I get off work.

So... I've hated Highbrow since I got him, I must admit. His proportions seemed wonky, his headmaster appeared to be WAY to high off of his shoulders, his backpack overly cumbersome, and his altmode leg-kibble looked like giant blocks on his shins.
However, as with Nightbeat, I pulled out some figures I didn't like so much to see if I could find SOME redeemable qualities in them. Well, I did. Trimmed down the head of his headmaster, glued the headmaster port into the body instead of letting "float", and did some posing. And now... well now I actually enjoy him!

Now, to remove the cockpit and turn it into a parts-forming gun.

Pretty much everything you said negative about Highbrow are what make him my favorite figure of TR. His proportions are absolutely perfect with the most heroic silhouette. Strong shoulders and great movement throughout with over 90 degrees knee bend. Plus how his Headmaster is situated on body gives far superior movement compared to all his contemporaries. He can pull off poses no other headmaster can thanks to the extra wobble.

Haha it's cool. You can still think that but if you do like him more now than that's good too. I wasn't trying to diminish your opinion or anything just giving my counter point. Plus I have seen several others who share your original take on Highbrow so I like to pop-out my honest and positive point of view about the figure.

    Great group shot too!

I actually like the silhouette of the character a lot. My personally issues with my cope of the figure are more QC related - my TM is super floppy; the TM port is floppy; his wrists bend backwards too easily; and one of the copter blades was seriously bent out of the package.

Despite all of that, I still like the toy in form and transformation.

I solved the port issue by unscrewing his chest, opening him up, and I glued his port into place.
The wrist issue can be alleviated by using some floor polish on the bumps of his hands that intersect his wrist at the 2 stopping risers pictured here:

Keep adding the polish and letting it dry till you get the desired resistance. Same can be done to the head of the TM.
    Hope that helped.
