What's the general feeling about this guy? Decent quality or K-rap? Other than missing the guns and extra joints is he a winner or a...you get the picture.

For that matter (since right now I can't find that thread), what's the overall quality of all the Combiner KOs? I was gonna skip them completely but at about 40 bucks a pop, they caught my eye at least enough to ask.

Don't have it myself but I remember people complaining of broken figures and really thin plastic due to the shrinking. It's the only reason I never bought one

Mine is fine. If you understand you're buying a KO and don't pretend it can be manhandled it is fine. It isn't a masterpiece of plastic by any means, but he looks just fine with other combiner wars combiners. It isn't total shit like some KOs but it isn't amazing either. Worth the $35 i paid easily.

Can you separate, combine, transform each Constructikon without breaking into a cold sweat every time you do it? That would be my main concern I think.

    In short, yes.

Don't hamfist, and be proficient with the titan devs first, so you know exactly what clips, what pegs, etc.

It literally is an undersized cw devs.

Plastic is fine, it's not a cheaply made ko... it's a cheaply costing ko.

Thanks. What about the quality of the other combiner kos that came around the same time, namely bruticus, defensor, superion? (Is there a Menasor, Computron too?) I'm thinking of getting Defensor if can't find Computron. Not my favorite but he looks nice. Lastly, any thoughts on the POTP Dinobot Volcanicus KO?

I have g1 ang g2 bruticus cw ko's, and the defensor... I'd say 80-90 percent as good as the officials at half the price... plus defensor comes with groove.

Don't have the superion cw ko, but I'm guessing it's in the same ballpark?

I have the oversized superion, and it's simply amazing.

Don't have the ko dinos either, as I have the official.

As far as I know, there's no Menasor nor Computron. Out of others, I own Volcanicus (the "Power Rangers"/"Skittles" coloured), Superion and Defensor (there seem to be at least three versions of Defensor, oldest, which I own, is mismatch of Takara and Hasbro colours, newer one has only(?) Takara paint - look at the First Aid, if he has circle inside of triangle instead of "Rescue" caption, it's newer version, the newest one is completely "custom" deco, mostly red and gray).

In general, you get what you pay for - for a price of single voyager you get whole combiner (Defensor, Superion)

Defensor is ok in combined mode, separately, well... Random I guess. Knees on all mine "deluxes" except Groove are bit too loose, can stand straight but I can forget about posing. Waist swivel on Blades is horribly loose. In case of Grove - I had to tweak him a bit - his head kept splitting in half (drop of superglue fixed it) while his hips were unmovable (polishing balls in ball joints with sandpaper fixed this). Streetwise's car front double hinge is super loose - it tabs well in vehicle mode, but is held in place just by gravity in robot mode. On the other hand, his roof piece with windshield is super difficult to rotate (tabs very securely in vehicle mode). His hips have some red paint bleeding, it looks like these parts were made out of red plastic which was painted white and white paint started to peel off (it's just impression, I'm sure it's creamy white plastic). On Hotspot - his chest plate keeps falling off - doesn't tab at all into tab holes on his chest while joint at the bottom is floppy loose and his legs are missassembled which makes it impossible to transform him into robot mode with properly working knees (the smooth part which connects to blue part should be turned by 180 degree - smooth side should face the front of the leg):

All Protectobots hold well in vehicle modes but not super well (except Blades who is solid by design) - tabs tend to slightly slide out of tab holes making ugly panel lining. "Deluxes" work well as limbs, though ratchets are rather soft and wobbly.
Can't say much about Superion right now (i keep him in combined mode), in combined mode he's pretty solid - ratchets are tighter (albeit squeaky :D ). As far as I remember, I had only problem with Skydive - double hinge on one shoulder doesn't tab well in robot mode and his legs and backpack are difficult to line up in jet mode. As far as I remember, all joints on figures are fine. Word of warning,. all soft parts seem to be made out of rubber instead of the soft plastic.
Volcanicus shares the flaws of Hasbro version, added weight (figures being larger and die cast added here and there) doesn't help here. There are some simplifications which don't really affect figures (tabs with clips replaced by tabs on Slag's backpack - no risk of snapping off these unlike on Hasbro version, missing tab holes just above Swoop's waist - forearms do not tab anywhere in arm mode, remolded hexagonal holes on Sludge's "wings" - arms no longer can tab there in leg mode), the overall quality is good (though I'd be careful in case of combiner pegs, I've snapped one on Sludge when I was removing him from Grimlock's foot). The joints and ratchets are tight enough. Everything tabs well, though on my Swoop tabs on legs became a bit loose and keep sliding a bit out of tab holes in dino/limb mode.

Hello everyone. I'm looking for someone who has this KO Devastator along with a digital caliper (for precisely measuring distances) and/or a 3D printer.

I've created a part for CW/UW Devastator that locks his Scrapper-shovel foot in place, for those who are having trouble with the tab that normally does this. More info here.

Since I shared that part, I've had a few requests to create a version of it for this undersized KO version. But I don't own this figure, so I don't know what size it needs to be, and have no way to test-fit my part before I put it up for sale on Shapeways.

If anyone here owns the figure, and has a digital caliper and could help me get some measurements, or has access to a 3D printer and could print and test prototypes, please let me know. Thank you!

I get it, it's perfectly equal to the green devy, same strengths and weaknesses. All in all I am very satisfied with the purchase.

I got and like this set but I feel like they were just a bit TOO undersized. I would have lived with Debby being slightly bigger than the other Combiners to get individual Constructicons who are at least tall deluxes/voyagers. As it is, these are slightly too small to work with my WfC figures, just like the officials are slightly too small for MP scale

Have you tried scaling them with... um... *clears throat*... combiner wars figures?

    Indeed they do.
