It can be any actors from any movies. For me, Shia Labeouf or Rachel Taylor would be on my top hunting list.

 

If you’re cutting out voice actors then my only picks would be Anthony Hopkins or Frances McDormand and that’s more because of their other work than any contribution they made to Transformers.

As someone who doesn't go gaga over celebrities or autographs...I'd probably get Michael Bay's. I don't even particularly like Bay as a filmmaker (nor do I hate him), but it would be kind of fun to have his autograph. It would be funny to show it to my friends who hate Bay, and I'd probably keep framed above my (mostly G1) toy display. Maybe I'd pose my figure bowing to it, or something comical like that.

Why no voice actors? That kinda takes all the fun out of it and it's kind of insulting. The voice actors are just as important to the movies as the guys who actually have their faces on screen. People are saying Travis Knight and Michael Bay who aren't even actors and that's OK but the voice cast is randomly excluded?

What does no voice actors even mean anyway? Cause that can be taken one of two ways. No one at all who only did voice work on the Transformers movies or there's a technical loop hole here because the vast majority of the movies voice cast are not actually voice actors. Hugo Weaving for example who voiced Megatron in the first movie normally works in front of the camera not behind a microphone. This movie was really his only voice role... or at least the only one I know of off hand, have to check his IMDB to be sure. Then there's also Leonard Nimoy who isn't well known as a voice actor. He's a famous actor on screen but I know some Trekies including my dad that never even knew he was Galvatron in the 86 movie or Sentinel Prime in DotM until I told them that. And the reaction ever time has been "When did he get into voice acting."

I think the only celebrity I can think of who's well known both on screen and as a voice actor is Mark Hamill. Everyone else they're usually more well known for one thing but not the other. Besides the celebrity status Mark Hamill is also the only celebrity who can actually do voice acting. Everyone else is usually heavily synthesized in editing or just ends up sounding like themselves. Actual professional voice actors are rarely ever famous because no one ever recognizes them. They always sound different and you almost never see their faces. Celebrities are typically hired in place of real voice actors specifically because studios want someone people will recognize to try to sell tickets.

So by that loop hole right there I think there are only like maybe 6 actual legitimate voice actors in all the live action films and the rest of the voice cast are celebrities. Also Mark Ryan had another job behind the scenes other than being the voice for various different characters. He was kinda cast last minute in the first movie to deliver one line as Bumblebee when they realized they never cast anyone for that scene. I think he was a grip in the set or something like that so he technically wasn't really a voice actor until the movies because that was kind of his first acting role.

If Peter Cullen makes a cameo on screen then can I count him as an on screen actor instead of only a voice actor. I think there was a scene shot that got cut from the movie were Peter Cullen was Optimus' holographic driver.

Honestly the only autographs I would really want are the voice cast... and Maybe the funny guy from the first movie who ate the whole plate... On paper that is such a dumb scene but he made it work and that guy was the best part of that entire movie.

 

Now, that's a must-have for me.

And wow, i think you're reading way too much into this. If you include voice actors, everyone is going to say the guys and girls who provide the tf voices. I think excluding them was just the OP's way of generating a more interesting discussion, no offense intended. Nothing more.

 

I knew it was done in a comic as well. Thought it was also intended to a scene in the actual movie. And what toy? That one is news to me.

 

I’d want Bay’s autograph. He made Transformers (2007) and I love that movie.
