    simple justification, some guy in an antman suit is making everything grow and shrink with those grow/shrink discs. or you could go with some guy's having an acid trip and sees a massive cheetah next to a truck

    Well, if they're smaller, they wouldn't be the size of a truck. =p

    I believe that official scale charts of Beast Wars characters would put them around Battlemaster-to-Voyager size in Siege-on scale, depending on character, with very rare occurrences being Leader class, like Beast Machines Tankorr. Rattrap & Blackarachnia would be Battlemaster-sized, while Optimal Optimus would be shorter but wider than Voyager Siege Optimus. Etc etc etc.

    But tell me Mr orange manwomanpersonchildman. wouldn't these tiny beast wars characters like rattrap or blackarachnia end up......shitty if they are battlemasters..? it kinda feels like a bad idea to do that...it's gonna be heavily compromised.. Is scale really something we should heavily stick to if it's gonna result in terrible figures that are heavily compromised?

    Generations Rattrap, Waspinator and Rhinox were Deluxe and Voyagers in a line of G1 characters.

    There's no reason future BW figures can't be Deluxe and Voyagers too.

    Save the cell shaded exclusives for the G1 fans. BW fans will be happy enough just getting an actual figure or two (eleven).

    All the more reason to start with a revived scout/legends size class for the smallest guys. Especially since the original Beast Wars figures for some of these smallest characters (notably Rattrap and Airrazor) were already around this size in the first place. If they were able to pull it off well enough at that size back in 1990's, imagine what they could do today.

    If they choose to do BW characters in G1 scale, then there's no reason they have to be shitty. The bike sisters in studio series are tiny and they look like okay representations of those designs.

    :O I love it, perfect. but wouldn't a smol deluxe like er cliff also work?

    Hastak ain't got a 3p legends budget, I just think having them be battlemaster sized would come with a whole ton of compromises that could make the overall figure crap

    I will cry if Beast Wars characters are done at any size smaller than Deluxe.

    thats because there was no unified scale, if we were to go by the scale set in beast wars they would mostly be in the smallest size classes with a couple of probably smaller deluxes.

    or we can ignore that and just scale them similar to the masterpiece line. which is good for the individual figures and the beastwars ones as a group but would make them not fit well with other wfc figures, this is why i absolutely do not want them in wfc. i dont mind if they make them to scale with the other wfc bots i.e. very small, but i cant imagine that would be very satisfying for most bw fans out there, hence why i want them to have a dedicated line, and not be shoe horned into the war for cybertron where they clash scale wise or design/engineering wise as well as aesthetically and thematically seeing as the beast wars are a separate event then the war for cybertron and should be seperate anyway imo

    if they get put into wfc they will almost undoubtedly have unnecessary compromises than if they just had their own separate line.

    Yeah, but legends would cost less. Although, small deluxe means more accessories, so that may be the way to go.

    Exactly. Siege showed that a relative scale can be achieved between figures in the same size class. Look at Deluxe Ironhide and Sideswipe.

    Eg.
    Rattrap = shorter Deluxe
    Tigatron = taller Deluxe

    This isn't Beast Wars. They are Beast Wars characters in a different universe. They can be whatever size they want.

    Beast Wars characters were shown to be the same size as G1 characters in the IDW universe. There's no reason they cannot be the same size in the WFC universe.

    Or the BW cast could be in their before earth modes? like a special anniversary pack like botcon, two packs even, one maximal pack and one predacon pack, because i honestly doubt BW will get a fullscale line, but they have got MP

    i dont really care what size they end up being, i dont want them in wfc mostly for my other reasons listed, i'm hoping for 2 lines so they don't interfere with each others line ups, i.e. not getting some bw figures because they didnt want to skip on the more popular g1 figures and not getting other (probably obscure) g1 figures because of bw figures

    As Battlemasters? Sure, probably. But Battlemaster-sized figures? Not necessarily. One look at figures like these should tell you how articulated(and accessorized) 2-inch figures can get.

    Will Hasbro actually make 2-inch figures with that much playability? That's a different matter. :<

    lol ignore me, I just want to recreate the Ark scenes from the BW cartoon with my Siege figures. =p

    The studio series bike sisters aren't 3P legends either. I'm just saying it can be done.

    Figures like Blackarachnia and Rattrap will probably end up too big then compared to the other BW characters.

    This is along the lines of what I'd like to see.

    They don't have to be quite as tiny as the show suggested, but they at least need to look like they belong with whatever line they're in- even it's just a standalone Beast Wars line. I don't need any scale hi-jinks like in the old Beast Machines line, with a commander class Cheetor, or giant Rattrap juggling a tank drone like a tiny rag doll.
    Also, I don't care what IDW did. Many of us are fans of the Beast Wars characters because of the show, and updates have been so few and far between that I don't want to just get total re-imaginings of them. Otherwise, might as well just be new characters.

    Not necessarily. Studio Series and Siege have proven there's room to do differing heights within a size class.

    @butz Say what you will about the IDW Universe, but at least they treated the Beast Wars characters as contemporaries of the G1 characters. This is important, as it helps remove the divide between the two franchises going forward. A character like Tarantulas, for example, should be able to turn up in any line, not just one about Beast Wars. That would be an exciting future.
