I'd say he is if you really love jet power Prime. For just the Jetfire parts, probably not.

I think TLK voyager Megatron is too short for the SS line.

 

Vehicle attack modes have shown up before and since.

 

I love the new look, but I don't recall his paint looking grainy in yr movie though. I thought it had a smooth look to it. Or will you be applying another coat?

The black shirt version. The scale of the DOTM human figures is way off compared to the ROTF figures. I also like the added articulation.

I went with a dusted look to give him a more gritty presence. A bit of a "custom faded" look, lol. I'm also trying to go for a style similar to these:



I want the color variation to be subtle, but not boring. From some angles, the con and air force logos actually disappear under the paint layers. I am most likely going to add the darker camo grey spots too.

 

It's actually accurate though. Megatron shrank after AOE (perhaps even ROTF?) from 35ft in the first film to 30ft when he became Galvatron. Starscream meanwhile is 31ft.

 

Sadness, but at the same time I guess he is in scale then!

 

So I decided to put my Bots and Cons back into robo mode. I think I have enough room for the upcoming Studio Series lol

 

I just found that DOTM Leader class Sentinel and Ultimate Optimus Prime might be in perfect scale to display with SS bots. Does anyone have pics of them along with SS figures ?

You mean only in vehicle mode, right? There's no way those two will fit in robot mode, they're both farrrr too big. Even bigger than Grimlock in the case of Sentinel.

I wish the upcoming Voyager Sentinel could mass shift from a large truck to a Voyager robot. The new Megatron sorta did that, why not Sentinel too? I'd hate it if Sentinel were as wimpy as SS-05/32 and only barely bigger than his old Voyager. He needs to be big, bulky, meaty, and worthy of an Ironhide-avenging bitchslap.

 

Yep, alt mode is the only mode I collect, since it's based on actual vehicle
I kind hope too, but there's no way he'll be as big as leader class toy. That's why I'm thinking about getting good old DOTM Sentinel (and maybe Ultimate Optimus too)

 

Leader class Sentinel is indeed in perfect scale with the SS deluxes like Bee,Jazz,Stinger, Sideswipe and Voyager Ironhide (I collect vehicle scale to so if I may suggest DOTM deluxe Que and TLK Hound as wel?)
In Robotmode Sentinel is 2 cm to tall.
So that is not that bad (I am trying to get his feet higher up his legs to shorten him down a little to be in scale)
And of course I will share pictures, keep in mind he is not finished yet (I am having a tough time finding pictures of the Rosenbauer Panther roof)

the Ultimate Prime is in perfect length in both Robot and vehicle mode but in vehiclemode he is 06 mm to wide overall witch is an issue for me.
The figure isn’t that great as a robot either so I am looking into changing that, till now the least out of scale and great in both modes is the OS SS05. (If only they made him 22.1 cm and not the 19 he is, he now is 13.6% to small)

Isn’t that that (2007) Stockade redeco? Gears or something? The S7 SUV?
The picture makes me want to track down that scout class dune buggy (I know this shows the deluxe but I think the scout could scale well)

 

If we get a SS Galvatron along witht he SS Sentinel Prime, I wonder what the scale will be like. I think the SS Sentinel Prime will scale with the DOTM Optimus Prime and DOTM Megatron Studio Series toys. But will the Galvatron be the same size as the AOE voyager or will he be a new figure and will his vehilce mode still be in scale?

It is the redeco of the Stockade figure, this one's name is Gears from the Revenge of the Fallen line. I don't know if you know, but the scout class dune buggy is Dune Runner and there's a blue repaint that may be harder to find that is named Beachcomber z(for obvious reasons haha).
