Got my replacement shoulders from XTB. Three things I noticed:

1. One of my new shoulders came PRE-CRACKED in exactly the same way as the old shoulder (see pic). Um, thanks?

2. One of the shoulders was RE-MOLDED to allow the wheels to rotate down without difficulty. The other shoulder was the same as before, and I had to shave away some plastic to allow the wheels to rotate down. That's strange...

3. They sent me SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT SCREWS than the original screws (see pic). The original screws had a tapered head. I imagine this would have allowed the screws to dig into the plastic a bit, which may have contributed to the cracking problem...? The new screws are not tapered. So... maybe problem solved?


*EDIT:* Aaaaand while installing the shoulders, the new piece broke at the bicep swivel mushroom peg. I'm a fan of XTB, but this is not their finest hour.

Haha I hear you! But Dx9 is by definition better because X-Transbots is late and don’t have anymore for comparison....I feel the pain as I was in four bots deep and I’m switching sides... Dx9 Menasor is gorgeous bad news for X-Transbots

What do you guys reckon - for replacements should I ask Baba, who I got it off, or XTB directly?

 

I'm thinking of buying Overheat. Maybe I shouldn't. I don't feel lucky at all.  

 

Hs anyone's cracked overheat shoulders actually broken apart yet, or have they just remained these hairline fractures?

 

What was the original pre order price for crackdown and flip out? Were the 2nd pair more expensive right away?

 

I _should_ get my replacement shoulders tomorrow. So if I decide to go through with the surgery, I will post the outcome. That said, I'm fairly certain the only thing holding his current cracked shoulders together are the screws.

 

@ibot , is there any plan to make a new mold for the shoulder or use a different plastic? Such a nice set and so many of us are worried about one figure's problem.
