the sdcc and blue hands images have the trailer hitch splitting with a portion ending up on each leg, the takara images (grey hands, blue biceps) has the entire trailer hitch on the right leg. we know that the sdcc samples were more or less final production samples, so the takara images with blue biceps are most likely of an earlier iteration of the figure

I don't know that they need to. his alt mode being silly isn't any weirder than the alt modes for ravage and the other cassettes. i think the challenge will be seeing if that play pattern connects with kids, at all.

 

The arm stuff I might grant you but Warden ruled out waist articulation at NYCC, saying they experimented with it and couldn’t get it to look right with this transformation scheme.

I think the only real way to get waist articulation at Voyager scale with Starscream is with a fake cockpit chest. I was hoping they’d go that route again, personally, but you can’t really do that very well with coneheads sharing a base mold.

Earthrise wave 1 needs more Decepticons

 

According to someone on here, Astrotrain, Apeface and Spinister were originally supposed to be part of the first wave of Earthrise.

 

Ah ok. I figured there would be some visual similarities because, well obviously, but I didn't expect it to be a near dead ringer.
