Alright, so the full article and gallery for Banana Force's MPL-01 Banana Force is up on site; Link in sig

Article breaks it down piece-by-piece but in the end I gave it a 7.0/10. It's a really nice piece, particularly for the price but there are some areas in terms of things like articulation and accessories that I feel would need to be improved even if not in a major fashion to really bring it up to that 8.0-10 level.

Here are a few pics from the gallery portion:

Showz just notified me they dropped the price. Not by much but still pretty awesome.

Asking on my own accord; are repaints like the Lucky Draw something you'd actually buy? Would you be ok with them being convention exclusives?

Personally I'm not sure i'd be interested in a repaint of this Prime. It doesn't have an iconic scheme to me in the same way as Scourge/Nemesis Prime is of the G1/G2 sculpts.

Noob question... Is MPL 01 Strengthen Parts an add on kit or is it included with the figure?

Hey Kuma, was wondering how this thing compares to some of the better sentinel products e.g. one of the riobots like the devolution getter since they seem to be products in the same niche of diecast, highly articulate robots.

I'm glad to be able to talk about this now... this add on kit really helps cover some missed ground. The only thing I really wish that would've happened from the start is a more accurate base mode head. Outside if that I think both modes will look really good and distinct.

That's a really broad question and I'm not going to type out a long breakdown trying to cover all bases for the sake of time alone. I have breakdowns on all of the products in site so I'd suggest checking then ot since it also gives you the chance to see them in motion for things like articulation differences as well. If you still have specific questions after by all means shoot me a PM or email.

Man, you're right. Sorry. I temporarily lost my internet connection earlier and hadn't realised I'd switched between pages. And then I suddenly got called away to help with the shopping (I was originally planning a 'spend all day in bed' day. I rarely get to do that :( . ) and I've just got back now.....

In any case, I've got no problems with Sharpshooter. He looks brilliant.

No personal connection to this figure, but I watched Kuma's video and I'm intrigued by it. Lot of accessories.

Yeah, the "regular mode" chest piece really helps balance out his proportions when using the blue head. I had assumed I would never take it out of the box but now I'll be looking forward to displaying him like this from time to time. Plus fully articulated hands!

Just fulfilled my pre-order with showz!

This is an additional purchase, isn't it? Hmm. It's great and completes his standard robot form rather than it being a halfway house I was never going to display. I can't help but feel this has been handled 'strangely', though. They've spread out his two robot modes across two purchases and that's a bit naughty as you don't get the best of either of them without the add on kit. Takes the recent price drop sweetener and sours it because these extra parts are an absolutely essential purchase for me.

    I'm still in, like.

Got a note from ShowZ saying their final price is $169.99! Got about $20 back in store credit from my pre order. Word up!

I got mine yesterday and I must say...this is surprisingly good. I wasn't expected much from a new company but Banana Force really did a bang on job for their debut. Despite still far from Flame toys level, it still contains a good amount of diecasts and rubbers, varieties of swivel joints, lights and it's fairly priced. So if you are into the idea of non-transformable TF but can't afford the Kuro Kara Kuri line, this is a decent substitute.
