I think the need to have "full" Cybertron movie is setting up a bit of a false dichotomy.

There's no reason that they couldn't move towards something like a 30-70 or even 50-50 split between Earth and Cybertron/space. You know how in Bumblebee it cut back to Optimus fighting on Cybertron or to Dropkick and Shatter pursuing? You could take that further and have a larger off-Earth plot that runs concurrently through the movie.

I think a movie about something like setting up a space bridge could be a good idea. Have a mix of scenes on both Earth and Cybertron - resulting in a big action battle at the end that happens across both and ties the plots together. If we can have movies like AOE and TLK that are set in 50 different Earth locations, surely we could switch a handful of those to off-world.

This also leaves out a neat idea that doesn't get explored very much - having humans in space/Cybertron scenes too. A lot of neat G1S3, JP-G1, UT, and IDW1 stuff had humans in space and was fun.

Because if you're now willing to accept my premise that Lion King is a human story so that you can argue Transformers are human (in their struggles, not literally), then it means nothing that Lion King is the highest grossing animated movie. That just reflects the status quo that stories audiences can relate to are successful.

Until producers figure out how to do that for Transformers (it's not hard, but they have so much trouble with it) it's a necessary evil to have human characters for the audience to relate to.

I think what I like about the Dark of the Moon flashback is how far away it is shot, it makes it feel so long ago.
    Like a distant memory.

Yes, it could be another prequel set before BB; we have already seen the CGI for Cybertron and 'bots.

I wasn't accepting, I was judging your logic.

There's no need to be snobby about it.

Plus, considering how Paramount are in a bit of trouble no thanks to the bombs of Dark Fate and Gemini Man, I highly doubt there'll even another one.

Not to mention, many people didn't even like the Lion King remake, for the bland uncanny rehash that it is.

Still, I can relate to a good Transformer than a bad human. And I'm damn well sure many people here and outside can too.

So yeah, not casing your case there mate, whatever it supposed to be about in the first place.

Yeah, kind of like the old Captain Power series. I always wondered what the great war was like. Then, towards the end of the series, they had a couple flashback episodes featuring it. They were amazing!

The fact that people(both fans and casuals I don't know where you are getting that only hardcore fans want this) want more of the Transformers as characters, this would be a perfect opportunity for this.

Personally, I'd love it. And it's being written, so it's already a thing.

A fully featured animated movie, yes. It could work. Stylized animation and all. It'd also require a very heavy humanization of the TFs to work for the general audience. Making it Pixar, but with TFs.

Anything can turn out to be a good idea if it is well executed by people who understand what the audience expects and cares about.

I'd like to see a show set on Cybertron, with a few movies to go along side it. A movie can show us a big event, but we can get to know the characters a lot betterby watching for 40 minutes or so every weekend. The movie would be photo realistic, while the show could be a more stylized cartoon; PG-13 and TV-14 respectively. Give us action scenes like in ay other movie; since both would be set on Cybertron, or cybertronian worlds, don't have the character be destoying buildings like they would on Earth, have them be going hand to hand, just like in Bumblebee, where Shatter took apart Bee with well placed shots, but don't have scenes like Dropkicks fight, in which Bee smashes him with a boat.

So assuming that MTMTE, LL and Cyberverse aren’t popular with the general audiences. I don’t blame them. I prefer RBA over Cyberverse.

I certainly wouldn't be against it, but it would largely depend on the rating they're aiming for.

A PG-13 animated film would be a bit of a hard sell due to the Animation Age Ghetto (which, as a budding animator, annoys me to no end). PG seems more likely, but that would limit the amount of violence and warfare, which wouldn't really work in a movie about a planet-wide civil conflict. Then again, movies such as Into The Spider-Verse have proven that you can get away with quite a bit of violence and still get a PG rating.
