Thanks for your wonderful support. That really helps. And no, I didn't see any rampant misspellings in the Facebook ad I responded to, or the page it took me to. So, yeah, laugh at the poor sucker who saw a video of a cool thing years ago and then saw an opportunity to buy that thing and thought it would be nice. Hope it's made your day and you feel suitably superior.
If you get anything, you'll recieve the shittiest Prime KO imaginable. I remember in the Marvel Legends FB group, a bunch of idiots bought this: And recieved this: $25. These are $3-4 on Aliexpress.
Well, they are at it again. Now it's called piupiu. Transformers - Optimus Prime Automorph Remote Control Model
out of longtime lurker mode to update this thread with the fact that I (surprisingly) have a tracking number from my UsualPractic order, even though their site is long gone. I will keep you all posted with what arrives
For anyone still interested in this scam, I can shed some light on the whole thing. This Optimus Prime robot is 100% real, however it was an internal prototype developed by a company formerly known as SenPower. They've since changed their name to Robosen and after they were unable to secure rights to the actual Transformers line, they redeveloped the prototype into a product called the Robosen T9. It's available now for purchase online for $500-$550 through a number of real, reputable retailers (including Amazon). So good news is you can have a remote controlled Transformer. Bad news is it's not REALLY a Transformer, that other site is definitely a scam and it's $500+, not $50.
