About making assumptions... do you not realize that if you were a kid when G1 came out and did get the toys then, that with inflation taken in consideration, the 20$ they cost in today's money was basically the same 50$ of today. And I know that at the time, that 50$ toy was a bit much, but it did happen, some would have sold a kidney for a awesome toy. I remember buying one that was 100$ THEN, which converts to about 175$ in today's money.

And when you see kids with 500-1000$ cell phones... a 50$ toy is now far from a big deal for them and their parents (yeah yeah, welcome to the snowflake generation).

I've bought many toys for a grandkid (5 year old), and one here and one there and even the children oriented series are still 15-20$ for the basic sized ones, grab a larger one when a sale comes up, etc. and it does add up fast.

The same with us adult collectors.. I'll buy one or two one month, none for next month or two, then maybe 3-4 on a release, and by piece of 30-40$ it doesn't "hurt" that bad, but when you go grab several of them to play with, and you stop to do the math.. that's easily 200-300$ (or even more if you go with the higher end stuff) in your hands.

There is a huge market and Hasbro is filling their mattresses with our money, no question about it, but we buy them because we enjoy them, and kids, if they develop the same love for these figures, will most certainly save and spend on them.

Megatron was tired of beating the scrap out of starscream and decided to sit back and watch as the autobots did it for him. We are also getting a rerelease of astrotrain from siege in this line and the military patrol to round out the wave 1 cons.

Almost. Starscream has his buddies Growl and Bombshock (Micromaster Military Patrol).

It’s been highly speculated that Spinister & Apeface were pulled forward from Earthrise (I believe someone on here even found Earthrise Apeface & Spinister abbreviated on Walmart’s system) along with Astrotrain, who as been mentioned is getting a rerelease in Earthrise.

When the retailers requested a late extra wave of Siege the first few waves of Earthrise were likely rejigged, it’s also been speculated that Crosshairs was a Hasbro Selects or other sort of exclusive they brought forward to retail as well.

The original first wave of Earthrise likely all contained Starscream, Apeface, Astrotrain & Spinister, which is understandably a much stronger Decepticon lineup that what we have now, but if you treat the last wave of Siege as an Earthrise ‘preview’ wave it all works out.

That makes a lot of sense out of Astrotrain's not remotely Cybertronian alt modes.

Every time I see pictures of Hoist, I can't help but wish that Warpath will appear in the Earthrise line. Come on Hasbro, how am I suppose to recreate A Decepticon Raider in King Arthur's Court?!

For the Earthrise release, I'd hope they'd remove the battle damage paint from Astrotrain, but I know they won't. :/

Was Warpath always that big in the show? I thought he was the size of the other minibots.
