The Japanese name Deszarus means 'bird monster'. But chicken comes close, I suppose..? I mean, birds are just modern dinosaurs. So what's the diff

The delay doesn't really big me, but in that time I've kind of moved away from MMC styled stuff to more of a FT MP collection.

The bigger deterrents for me are the size and price. The first 3 make a nice little display, but to add the 2 big guys, I'd have to totally reorganize a couple of shelves.

I gotta agree with everyone else's sentiments it certainly is a blow that the last two took so long to come out and are the most expensive. I still plan on getting them, but it would have felt much better if one of them was available earlier.

Thank you for the information but look like full payment is required for pre-order so I will stick with TCP.

I have some points to use at TCP so will be going through there. As such I will be getting this at a reasonable price.

they were always going to be the most expensive because if their massive size compared to the others, and the associated project risk was always going to require fundraising projects before, like Nickel and Dogimus Meatimus

...it does? I thought that they cleared up his name at Botcon 2015 when the OG designer indicated his name was supposed to be "Deathsaurus", which isn't really indicative of "bird monster" as it is "Death Dinosaur".

Unless my high school Japanese is really rusty in which case the Japanese have the most metal word for bird ever.

I am just curious who is going to put out the first hand accessory pack for this guy. The double single digit salute will be a huge selling point and it falls into the theme of the DJD perfectly.

Yeah, he's just pulling that out of his ass. Monster is usually "bakemono", and bird is "tori", so...

Scale should have been referenced. Not everyone can keep up with all these third party companies

I try not to assume as Japanese isn't any kind of a strong suit of mine.

It was just a weird statement, given that Dezaras is kind of an obvious Kaiju. Following traditional naming conventions it was kind of unlikely that his name was supposed to mean anything but some bombastic foreign sounding thing, i.e. "Destroyah", "Ghidorah", "Biollante", etc.

Ive been waiting for this one. These things are pretty much spot on to the comics (which I have never actually read but seen pics) I just love these cybertronian characters never existed in the G1 cartoon. People like toy say MMC makes their figures \"stylized\" but to me they fit in with Hasbro figures nicely. Maybe its because we dont have Hasbro versions of the characters to compare these too. And Im fairly confident we never will. Thats why Im ok with shelling out the money to complete this set. Should they have been finished faster ? The answer is yes. Am I going to loose my patience and sell off the others and give up hope ? F**k no ! The same way I waited for Fansproject Snarl. I dont mind supporting MMC because they are kesping 3rd party CHUG scale figures alive.

I think @LazyAza has kinda gone on record that MMC's scale is kind of its own thing. That said, I agree - they look good with most CHUG figures... except when their scales don't match up quite right. For example, a good chunk of the HasTak version of the Lost Light crew is downright puny compared to Caldius. Generally, the record scratch moment comes when you're dealing the core dozen Lost Light crew members and such, as MMC has interpreted them to be "about voyager size", whereas HasTak kicks them out at Deluxe size.

As a result, they kind of fit this weird space that I like to call IDW MP. They get to hang out with the Gcreation/Gtoy figures I have, with spots filled in by wayward CHUG figures. If it wasn't for Siege, I'dve probably vacated my entire CHUG collection save for the titan class ages ago.

Half a Black Shadow is the top part of Carnifex. However, a beat-to-shit Black Shadow head would be great.

Back in the yonder days of 2014 we used to call this "CHUGsterpiece scale"
