the sparks he had absorbed up to that point were released by the end of the episode it happened when nightscream depolarized his spark, when megatron used the optimal body it was just his spark without being juiced up. and theres nothing saying that only megatron posessed the ability to absorb sparks, so saying his is beyond the norm for that reason isnt quite accurate

 

The way Megatron put it, all he needed to merge his spark with the others was a connection to the Oracle, which he was able to download from Optimus. So yeah, in theory, anyone with a connection to the Oracle would be able to do it.

I was just saying "to me"... I think I got it in my head after thinking about his powers and creating CatSCAN from just an AI... I do a lot more AU pondering than actual "fansplaining" when it comes to the few elements I enjoyed during the BM period.

I know they've always officially been separate characters, was just musing. But I did forget about Sentinel Maximus. That at least establishes some officiated combination of the characters. *shrug*

I'll take the blame for a lot of that... apologies. To try and legitimize at least the control suit story issue with toys-related stuff...

PotP OpOp made it possible to display at least some version of the episode. I wanted SO badly to see this repainted as Primal Prime with Apelinq as the back-bot... because it turns into a hoverboard and Apelinq's only 2 stand-alone toys (that I remember) have that element included. Same cant be said for Primal toys even though *but, repaints*.

No 'snark' intended. Just seems that if no one is complaining why not let people finish their discussion? I'm sure it would have got back onto toys soon enough. I have zero interest in unpicking Beast Wars lore, as there's always a part of me that remembers, well...this stuff was just made up for our entertainment, it's best not to take it to seriously of analyse it too hard. Which is why I spend zero time in the GD forum. However i don't mind/quite enjoy seeing this thread occasionally go 'off topic' as the resident Beast Wars lore-lords pull on their vast knowledge of the subject to explain some of the bonkers stuff we see in the toys...which is what this conversation was about . Anyway...back to toys and only toys.
