How? We're not gonna get anything much closer to the screen model than this. The transformations in the Bumblebee movie are far less believable than even the ones back in 2007, it's a miracle that someone could make one with a proper chest thickness in the first place.

 

The only one that manages to capture the screen model is the 3A Bee, but it gets its accuracy by being non-transformable  

 

TE has better sculpted detail and fantastic paint, but it's covering its torso and directly facing the camera for a reason.

The unknown company has the best legs out of all of them, but it still has quite a bit of backpack to it.

In an ideal world, we'd get Zeta Bumblebee, with the TE painting/sculpting, and the other one's legs

 

All you have to do is look at the reveal pics  

 

I saw those pics the day they were revealed. Compared to the 3A/screen model, the chest is about twice as thick as it should be, not to mention the worst case of hip-knees syndrome I've seen in ages. No doubt it looks great in specific poses, but I'd like a figure that looks consistently good from all sides.

I'm tired of having to carefully pose figures like MPM03, MPM04, LS08 and Commander Thunder Leader to compensate for their wonky angles, and it's refreshing to see a figure that's Unique Toys-esque in terms of 360-degree goodness

 

I’ve personally just went the way of the BMB bumblebee since it captures his character the best to me, sculpt and proportion wise. even if it is messy in the back.

(A lot of people don’t like the movies and that’s fine. Hell, I grew up with them in a way and still think it was all a jumbled mess before bb)

 

I was hoping this would be released sooner, since the first announcement was Tfcon last year. This year when i went to Tfcon I saw the MPM again in person. Is it still in an affordable range? Sure. But it's nowhere as clean and visually closer to the movie model. And that's why I'll wait for Pioneer to come around. I know this is a test shot so there's definitely room for paint and more to make this look as phenomenal as I feel it's going to be.

 

I guess Hasbro's lawyers have gone back into hibernation.
