You may be correct, though the angle the pictures are taken from makes it look like there is very little clearance with the trailer attached. We'll just have to wait and see.

Man, that back image of Hoist has deflated my excitement for that figure something fierce.

The gray hands and front-facing tow hitch on Optimus are not helping things for him either, but still looks like a nice mold. I am not sure I can ever get past the trailer wheels, and at $50 that might matter.

they’re probably not going to do another one for part three. Others and I have talked about what part three could be and chances are they’re gonna focus on season three a lot so we’ll probably see a new leader class Rodimus that’s in scale but comes with his combat bay to make his space Winnebago and we’ll see Galvatron and others especially since it’ll be in time for Unicron to be released and be the 35th anniversary of the movie

If they go that rout i hope for box sets of sweeps so i can have a horde of them. Also hope scourge looks a little different like maybe be a bit taller to stand out as leader of them

newsflash! um, what? I'm not being unreasonable, this is a new release and practically the flagship release for the Earthrise line.

I expect a new toy to have a new head. Why are we suddenly ok with this? Its one thing for seekers and datsuns to have the same head, that's expected, but other remolds and new figures we expect to have new heads.

As per your argument that g1 heads aren't that different from each other, what if they had just taken the g1 toy's head and kept using it for the last 30 years or the first classics Optimus's head, would you really be ok with that?

And yes, to answer your question, I see a lot of differences in all the different optimus heads that have been done so far. This optimus is a continuation of the story set up in Siege and I expect a visual growth to be seen in the head considering he has a new body. Something more closely resembling the more angular and aggressive MP-10 head,or something between the g1 head and laser prime head, or even just a change in the antenna and forehead shape would have been nice.

Its not changing for the sake of changing, its a new toy and an evolution of the siege optimus design. It makes sense for the head to change with the body.

a new head should be expected considering its a new figure and a new head would help tell the character's story by adjusting to how his character has grown and aged since the war began.

And frankly perfect is a very subjective perspective, I can think of a number of g1 style heads I've enjoyed more than the siege one.

In the In-hand images showed recently (tfw2005 article) Prime had the blue hands and eyes, black biceps and the tow itch was remolded to be less noticeable, maybe before release Hoist too will see some tweaks.

That's likely to happen. That being said if they do decide to do another one at that point it'll be based on Optimus Prime]s other bodies after G1 like G2 Laser Optimus Prime or even Machine Wars Optimus Prime which both would be welcomed.

they won’t. Scourge has been a shelf warmer with every release and they’re not gonna do a box set of three of the same figure that looks the exact same in all main iterations and that’s the goal of WFC. To make them as faithful as they can with the source material. If scourge gets a new figure than hasbro will probably follow the reflector example and offer full case options for retailers because they know folks will want to army build but then you’re gonna have to accept he’s going to once again shelfwarm.

Everyone is fretting about Prime's hands, meanwhile I just wish Grapple's head was black so it wouldn't blend in with the parts around it.

As for the other half of my favorite pair, Hoist looks better in these new pics. Maybe it was the lighting, but when he was first shown the green looked a bit lighter making him appear too cartoony.

Crap. My wallet hates the fact that these figures look so much better in-hand than in the CAD files. I was easily going to pass on Hoist, but the pictures of the physical toy have me second guessing.

Machine wars prime would be good but only as either a precursor or exclusive repaint of Thunderclash. Turbomasters for the masses

Primus, I hope you're right! New and definitive versions of Rodimus and Galvatron are exactly what I need. Heck, pretty much everyone else except for (Arcee and Springer) from the '86 film could use this new upgrade style.

Don't you make a lot of assumptions there?

I'll use your debate format: "As I've told people", kids today have tablet games and other distractions. They don't have Saturday morning cartoons and commercials. They don't subscribe to the latest TF program, or watch it as religiously as you did when you were a kid.

I realize what Hasbro says, but you must understand they have every reason to lie about who is buying "toys" - for one thing, who wants to tell investors/media that kids are losing interest and only the aging, adult market is buying the products?

Still, kudos to you and your 6 fans for being so optimistic about changing times. It's easy to expect things to stay the same, but I am afraid that your perspective is a bit dated and incorrect.

Further: children don't pay $50 for an Optimus. They just don't. They have their own, targeted Optimi toys, and I assure you... not likely the $50 one! :)  I mean, maybe during Xmas time, we can say kids get $50 Optimi from Grandma, but any other time of the year? And with how often Hasbro releases these things? For example, the Earthrise Optimus debuts in March 2020 - that's well past the Xmas season when a kid might receive an expensive gift like this.

Please don't say you think kids save up $50 to buy this Optimus. Cause that's crazy-talk. :)

Yeah, I don't mean to quote someone in specific to call them out. I just tag the conversation wherever it's at, and by no means intend to insult anyone on here! This is all friendly discussion! :)

(But I stand by my "insult" - there are too many Optimus toys made, and Hasbro should give it a rest! :D  SHOTS FIRED! :lol )

Wait... so do the new minicons turn from robot to driveway and back?
    That's... weird.

I'm pretty contempt with TR/legends Blur Kup and hotrod but a new Arcee and Galvatron are a must on my list and they’re gonna need to work some magic to make something better than Universe Cyclonus but I’d settle for what Earthrise is doing for stracream. Take the classics and make it bigger and improve articulation
