While they don’t look bad, at $18 each I’d rather put the money toward some vintage action masters I am missing (which is quite a long list)

I'll probably pick up at least one of these for the packaging alone (probably either Megatron, Starscream, or Soundwave). Although if they were to come out with a Galvatron they would definitely have my money.

I'm surprised at everyone who doesn't get these figures. Never seen Reaction figures before? You can't compare the cost of these as they're not Hasbro produced and not going to sell nearly as much as a normal Transformer. I don't get why everyone is surprised at this. They cost more probably because of the licensing too, they aren't the random ass movies that Reaction started with.

I think they look pretty cool. I would bet most would buy these to keep on card (I would), as that\'s kind of the point of ReAction figures. Still, $18 is a little off-putting. Hopefully everyone else agrees and then these will get marked down.

All the ones I have ran $15 each, so $18 is in the ballpark of what these go for.

    I do "get them".
Hell, I'm sure I'm their target audience.
But the price is outside what I'm willing to pay -and I buy a lot of toys.

THIS, this is exactly it. These aren't really even aimed at TF collectors much. These will be in the "nerd" aisle at Target, and some parents will see one, remind them of their childhood and they'll buy it for their desk at work or something. Obviously, like POPs, there's a target audience who collects, but most will go to more casual people, and some will sit around until they hit clearance as well.

    right?!

I'll be happy to buy the Chinese KO's for next to nothing, I'm certainly not paying that price for a novelty though.
Especially as they have almost no articulation - the pricing is just to much for what they are, maybe if they get heavily reduced ; shame though as ActionMasters with elbows is something i'd have some use for (bit like the Revoltech toys).

    But since someone mentioned it.

I was wondering if anyone has any info on the basic but fairly large Transformers figures with very minimal articulation and not packaging they hang on a shelf tag.
Death Review's mentioned them in passing once - but they are something that I've never seen mentioned on here so I just wondered more about them.

Can anyone elaborate for me ?

Does anyone that gets the other types of figures in this line, in terms of the packing is it one of those once you open it the package is destroyed or does the back like a have "pre-cut" tear (can't think of the name) where like you can open it to take the figure out but the packaging isn't toast after? Reason I ask is because I thought with a Ninja Turtle set that came in a pizza box they came in similar type packaging where it wouldn't be destroyed. Not a huge deal either, just thought these might be kinda neat to like peg on a wall in those packages.

    I want them.
    I would buy them.
I would have to buy two sets because they are beautiful carded.
That would cost a lot of money.

    Bugger.

These are the closest we\'re getting to actual Action Masters!  S7 should make Action Masters repaints of OP, etc and include the accessories too!

And yet they haven't evolved like the rest of the industry has.

    Why are they 18 dollars?

I'd actually buy these if they were cheaper, or at the very least- if they were actual action masters and not 5 poa.
