Taken at a Toys"R"Us shop located at the Fahrenheit88 shopping mall in Bukit Bintang. Both Bludgeon and Whirl are confirmed to be 1-Step Changers.

Whirl's package also possesses a new logo called "Battle for Cybertron", which is believed to be the 3rd season's title, while the other 3 had the "Bumblebee: Cyberverse Adventures" logo instead.

I can definitely see myself getting that Bludgeon and Whirl as desk toys.

Imagine five or so years ago when the One-Step Changers as we know them now started rolling out, and someone telling you that one day there would be a pretty good-looking one of Whirl. What a time to be a Transformers collector.

We've had spring loaded basics since Beast Wars and Machine Wars. Plus the early Movie and Animated Activators. There has definitely been a large drop in quality since BW Rattrap or MW Mirage, both in terms of design aesthetic and plastic quality. Compare any of those BW/MW Basics to Cyberverse One Step Jazz. Yikes. When Hasbro gets them right, I do want to make sure to acknowledge that fact. We know they lurk here, so I want to encourage them to not only keep making kids toys with a more diverse cast than the main seven characters, but make them actually look good. Whirl here looks really nice, even with the chicken legs.

For being a one-step, Whirl looks shockingly good. I firmly believed it was a warrior class prior to this tbh.

Interesting to see some new branding on the packaging. Is this something exclusive to foreign markets where Cyberverse maybe isn't airing?

I agree. I mean, these one-steps are not meant for me, but I would actually be interested if they were like the TFA one-steps or BW Basics where you still got a fully articulated, detailed toy out of them.

It's the fact that the one-step transformation is, usually, the only feature of these toys to speak of that turns me cold to them.

The main appeal with one-steps, IMO, is just as fun, brainless desk toys, but only if they have inventive transformations. Cyberverse Prowl is pretty fun with how he literally springs up and lands on his feet. Same with that goofy butterfly knife AOE Drift--he looked horrible but was certainly amusing enough to mess around with. They certainly pale in comparison to BW Basics and Animated Activators (shout out to Starscream, who was way better than his Voyager), but nonetheless I've enjoyed the few one-steps that I've acquired.

The bland ones that just sort of shift into robot mode do nothing for me, and that looks to be the case for Bludgeon unfortunately. Whirl looks good enough to take a chance on, though.

I mean, unless you're a kid. In which case then you're proud of how you can transform your car into a robot just like dad "all by yourself."

(That's after observing my son who's had his One-Step Prime for like a year now and f**king loves it.)

I'm more curious what Deluxes, Warriors & Spark Armor figures would they have planned for that line. Come to think of it, they could retool the basic-sized spark armor figures into new Scouts. I would love retools that improve articulation.

Funny that “Bumblebee Cyberverse Adventures” is being used as a subline name this late in the game. The show has moved past the “Bumblebee going through his memories” angle for awhile now.

From what I found out, "Transformers: Bumblebee - Cyberverse Adventures" is how the show is marketed in some Asian region countries.

"Battle For Cybertron" is likely the title of the 3rd Season.

I see Whirl's got the same thing Cyberverse Shockwave's got going.

"WE MUST GIVE THEM AN EYEBROW NO MATTER WHAT"

I'm guessing Repugnus is a 1-step too, then.

Bumblebee Adventures? Just when I was glad he was not the focus of season 2... Guess he will be in season 3.
Curious what Whirl be like as a character in the toon.
The Whirl toy actually does not seem that terrible, he has as much articulation as the G1 toy with the arms being more articulated than usually in 1step changers.

They seemingly like Wheeljack so much they've released him in 3 different packaging types.
Would have made more sense to put Jazz in that wave perhaps for a 2nd time or even rotate Prowl back in.
