A better looking face would also be welcome.

 

The face is actually pretty great, it was just hard to see the sculpt because it wasn't painted. It looked kind of 'soapy'.

 

Is it as detailed as FT's Cyclonus?

 

I think so. In certain ways it even has more character; he looks like he disapproves of whatever he's looking at.

 

I have both and FT-29 Quietus has the best, most detailed face sculpt hands down. No contest.

 

The face does have detail but it gets lost at a distance. It would benefit from some paint and I think some did paint it and it looks way better painted.

 

I own both, and quietus' face sculpt wins without question. Not a fan of FT's dicking people around with color lately, but that sculpt is spot on.

 

Ummm.........I think Eligos's face sculpt wins without question. Quietus looks like he is ready to attend a masquerade ball, which I incidentally was invited to the other day at Spago.

 

I just took a look at mine and, strangely, it looks fine in person. I’ve decided not to overthink it.

 

I think eligos looks like an old woman who isn't wearing her dentures. Painting the face does improve it, but personally quietus wins for me in the face dept. Eligos overall stature amd bulk looks better than quietus' petite little body however.

I will try to take a detail photo of the face, I have the focus of the broken camera.The face has just detail, paint with a pin with red paint the eyes

 

I'm curious, did anyone ever make an idw head for this guy?

 

Not that I know of. Some people used the FT face with him, so I'm guessing that you could also fit the FT head on him, but nothing dedicated for Eligos. Also, I transformed my yesterday. He's a good looking toy despite a number of issues, but damn that transformation is awful. It almost is unbelievable that the same guy designed the XTB stunticons. Kudos on the improvement for him, is what I'm trying to say.

 

Is there a good transformation tutorial somewhere?

 

The face on this thing is unforgiveable, i think more people would have been in for it had the face been an actual face.
But it's an xtransbot issue they've got a few dull face sculpts, this one skids the toy version of deadend off the top of my head, there's a lot of things i can look the otherway on but the face is not one of them

 

A little paint goes a long way.
